    When the computer is shut down, the printer remains ON, unlike my old (former) printer that automatically turns off, when the computer is switched off.

    Mechanical Failure After Printing 50-ish Pages

    Purchased a few weeks ago. Setup was easy and printer worked fine until the first time I had to reload paper. From that point on I received the error message "Photo Tray Problem; The photo tray is blocked. Please adjust the tray and try again." This error is not addressed in the User Guide or Reference Guide. Information I found on the Internet addressed the error on different printer models but not this one. Online chat was useless. I called HP Plus Support and spent two hours on the phone with a technician who eventually concluded that there was a mechanical problem and the printer needed to be replaced. HP is sending another free of charge (same model), so fingers crossed it does not abruptly fail like the last one.
