You spend the extra money thinking you can avoid some of the typical problems you have with HP printers but end up just having an expensive printer that can never connect despite HPs app saying you're connected.

This is the worst printer HP has ever made. It MUST be connected to the internet to work. The software that must be used to connect it to the internet does not recognize the printer and so the printer cannot be configured. Completely unusable. Returning!

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that your printer has rendered prints slowly, and that the device has used ink more rapidly than you’d anticipated. It’s easy to understand why these would create a disappointing start to ownership. I want to help you get the machine performing to your satisfaction. I hope the resources below make that happen.

First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; it contains sections on Windows as well as Mac OS. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2817150-2408088-16

Regarding ink use, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 415 to 600 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 165 to 200 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

If you’d like further input on this – and if you need further assistance with print speed – I suggest you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. Its a really good printer if you only print from a phone, BUT is useless for Windows 10 HP laptop printing...it doesn't print. HP says its a problem with the Windows 10 print spooler. Don't buy if you need to print from a laptop.

This is the worst printer I have ever purchased. It does not work. Worked for the first two weeks and stopped working. We are in school and cannot print anything. Meanwhile, we are two weeks past the return period. This is a total waste of money and so frustrating.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that your printer stopped working. I can wholly understand why this would be a shock after only two weeks of ownership – and considering that the retailer’s return period has ended. I want to help you resolve the situation, so I’ll provide a resource I hope will make that happen.

I can’t tell from your review what issue the printer faces or why it stopped working. I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and determine the best course of action. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. Hi, Brittany.

I’m sorry that your printer has performed poorly for you. I can wholly understand why slow and noisy printing alongside rapid ink use would be a frustrating combination. I want to help you remedy the print speed and noise issues and troubleshoot the ink consumption situation. I hope the resources below serve that end.

First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; it contains (among other things) instructions on updating firmware, which can help improve print speed and other performance. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2817150-2408088-16

Next, I can’t say for certain what happened with the ink supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program. If you’ve gone through only the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.

However, if you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 415 to 600 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 165 to 200 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if any problem persists – and for input on what might be causing the excessive noise – I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      Hi there.

I’m sorry you’ve had a bad start with your printer. I can certainly understand why slow print speed, rapid ink use and poor print quality would be a frustrating combination. I want to help you remedy these issues, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at making that happen.

If you’re still using the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.

However, if you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 415 to 600 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 165 to 200 pages. Keep in mind that photos use more ink than text and other prints. Also, how cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Finally, I can’t tell from your review what’s causing the print-quality issue you describe. Hi there.

I’m sorry your printer has produced prints of poor quality. Your frustration is easy to understand, considering the device has rendered faded text despite having adequate ink in the cartridges. I want to help you remedy this problem. I hope the resources listed below serve that end.
