I am incredibly unhappy with this printer. It consistently is unable to maintain wifi connection, only device in my household that has an issue with that. It also frequently freezes, in which case I have to unplug it to get it to restart.

      Hi, Connie.

I’m sorry your printer is not working. I can wholly understand your frustration, considering an ink cartridge or the mechanism that holds the cartridges became stuck, and the retailer won’t exchange the item. I want to help you out of this dilemma, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at making that happen.

I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. Have bought many HP printers in the past, this is the first one I have had problems with. When I print a photo it always turns out unusable. I contacted HP, did everything they said to do with no change. Would never buy this model again.

Bad choice for my needs. I'm going to return it. The colored ink cartridges do not work and I've wasted money buying more #64 cartridges but that has not solved the problem. Tired of messing with the photo tray and it does not hold enough paper. It does not alert you when the ink is low, it just keeps running and printing nothing but smears.

I made a copy for testing; the copy did not come out the correct colors. This is the second printer which doesn’t work right. The first one I bought weeks ago which has the same issue so I brought it back to the store and got the second one. But it has the same issue!

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that your printer has rendered prints slowly. Your review is brief, but your disappointment with the print speed is clear – and totally understandable – so I’ll provide some resources designed to help you resolve the situation.

First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; choose whichever of the following two links matches your operating system:
      - Windows: support.hp.com/us-en/document/bud03409
      - Mac OS: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01928898

Also, often just updating the firmware can help improve print speed. You can find out how to do that here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02919168

If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to learn that you’ve had a difficult experience with your printer. I can certainly understand why a challenging setup process, a lesser paper capacity than you’d anticipated and rapid ink use would add up to a poor start to ownership. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll provide some resources and information I hope will reach that end.

First, I can’t tell from your review how many sets of ink cartridges you’ve used, how many pages you’ve printed or how that compares with the cartridges’ estimated page yield. The XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 415 to 600 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 165 to 200 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if your results differ dramatically from the estimates above, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents can be longer than normal. Hi there.

I’m sorry that your printer has performed poorly. I can wholly understand why frequent paper jams and poor print quality would add up to a poor start to ownership. I want to help you remedy these problems, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at making that happen.

First, I can’t tell whether the jams are occurring inside the printer or at the document feeder. If it’s the former, I recommend going through the steps to clearing and avoiding paper jams that you’ll find in this troubleshooting guide on our support site:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4803362-4149788-16

Otherwise, I suggest that you follow a guide to document feeders that pull through too many pages at once or fail to pick up any paper at all. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503

Finally, you might gain useful information from a guide to improving print quality. Issues covered include faded or streaked prints, color or black ink not printing properly or at all, and blurred or fuzzy text. Find that guide here:

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that you’ve had such a trying time with your printer. I can wholly understand why unreliable connectivity, slow and noisy printing, and rapid ink use would be an exasperating combination. I want to help you out of this dilemma. I hope the resources and information below will help you reach that end.

First, I recommend that you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including wireless connectivity. You can find the page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

Next, I suggest you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; it contains sections on Windows as well as Mac OS. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/gb-en/document/ish_2817150-2408088-16

Finally, I'll explain one factor that might be causing the noise you hear. While your printer is powered up, it makes sure that the nozzles are regularly cleared, which can be noisy, especially if the printer is on a hard surface. I suggest you try placing the printer on a padded surface to muffle the vibrations that occur.

This should not be listed as photo printer. Color is dull, washed out. Printer did not recognize more than 1 page. I recently printed out important documents and was told later that there were 3 pages to each document. Had to take a screenshot in order to get all the pages. I WISH I COULD RETURN IT. I sent a complaint to HP also.
