Posted .Hi there.

Poor printer
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy. Super slow, runs out of ink after 8 to 10 small pictures and the black on the pictures eyes, etc. Come out flat black while the rest are glossy. Really creapy, demon like. I regret buying it, its supposed to be for pictures

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry you’ve had a bad start with your printer. I can certainly understand why slow print speed, rapid ink use and poor print quality would be a frustrating combination. I want to help you remedy these issues, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at making that happen.
First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; it contains (among other things) instructions on updating firmware, which can help improve print speed and other performance. Find that guide here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2817150-2408088-16
Next, I can’t say for certain what happened with the ink supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program. If you’re still using the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.
However, if you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 415 to 600 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 165 to 200 pages. Keep in mind that photos use more ink than text and other prints. Also, how cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.
Finally, I can’t tell from your review what’s causing the print-quality issue you describe. For more input on that – and if you need further assistance with the other issues – I suggest you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry your printer has produced prints of poor quality. Your frustration is easy to understand, considering the device has rendered faded text despite having adequate ink in the cartridges. I want to help you remedy this problem. I hope the resources listed below serve that end.
First, I recommend following the steps listed in a guide on our support site to improving print quality. Issues covered include faded or streaked prints, color or black ink not printing properly or at all, and blurred or fuzzy text. Find that guide here:

Terrible don’t buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible printer. I have done very minimal printing. 1 page a month if that, and the feeder is not feeding the paper right and now crinkles my documents when printing. Waste of money.

The worst.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer won’t connect to anything - even when following the directions perfectly. The HP app is equally terrible. While I’m sure the printer would work great otherwise, it’s as useless as my dog’s chew toy in printing documents.
