In setting up the printer the HP software asks to enter the password for the router. Unfortunately the window for this didn't work. I wound up entering the password directly on the printer. The customer support from Hewlett Packard was of no help. I placed a call to customer support expecting a call back, which never came.

So far, working great! Great quality without any malfunctions. The ink plan has been convenient too.

Its a great printer. It uses way less ink and is three times as fast as are cannon printer.

Set up directions were confusing at one point however, it took minutes to get up & running. Fast, efficient, quiet.

HP Ink requires the printer to be on all the time and connected to the internet. Although I adhere to these requirements, the HP software frequently says the printer is off line. Nothing I do fixes the problem. This means I don't get security updates. I also feel like I'm cheating when I print because the pages printed may not go toward my quota.

This printer was shipped with a defective color cartridge that did not print all of the colors. After contacting customer support to get a replacement, I had to go through 5 hours of customer support that required me to give remote access to my Mac to debug even though I did everything correctly to set up the printer and to diagnose the issue beforehand. During these 5 hours, the support tech pushed the HP's ink subscription plan no less than three times saying that this would help resolve my issue by shipping me a new color cartridge. After finally convincing the tech to send me a replacement cartridge, the one that was sent to me required me to sign up for the ink subscription plan! I gave in and had to subscribed to the ink subscription just to avoid having to deal with another support tech. Now some particulars about this printer. The scanner works as expected. Printing quality is OK but not any different than any other vendors. The HP Smart software sucks. Besides having a confusing and unnecessarily complicated interface, it is very slow. This is probably a result of server calls to verify the ink subscription. Some functionality does even work. I get load paper messages on my Mac after I've loaded and successfully printed from the printer. I've owned HP printers in the past, and the current version of HP Smart is probably the worse I've seen. That combined with a defective cartridge indicates quality problems. My recommendation is to look somewhere else. I have an Epson printer as well, and the set up and out of the box reliability was way better.

This is an upgrade from my last printer. I like the ease with the new features.

Love this printer. Took a little bit to figure out how to scan to email. Easy to operate through the app on all devices. Easy to set up.
