Not good to print photoes

I attempted to print photographs this evening, and was disappointed to see pattern of lines printing on all pictures. I printed four photographs and all the prints had this issue. The size was 8.5 x 11, and all the pictures had this problem. Very disappointing. This printer is good only to print occasional word documents. I bought this at a discounted prince, and hence the price can be considered fair as long as the purpose of printer is only to print word docs. It seems the printer may not be able to handle high resolution pictures at least at 8.5 x 11 size on glossy paper. Don't buy this, if you intend to print photographs on this printer. I am going to return this printer, and would go with my old trusted Canon or Epson.

Read online that this is a common problem. Had to go back out to get new ink cartridges just to get finished setting up printer. Haven't had chance to use printer much, but so far it's ok.
