This printer lasted one year and one day. One year warranty. HO support site is the worst I have encountered, which says a lot in today’s world of poor quality websites. Planned obsolescence has taken on a whole new level of precision. Guaranteed to fail one day after warranty. HP sucks. I will never purchase from them again. Of course there is no human being to talk to. Must be in warranty to answer phone. CATCH 22 !!!!!! Run from HP as fast as you can

I love the look of the printer. Its simple and not big and bulky. The wireless NEVER stays connected. Wireless was a must for me. Now everytime I want to use it I have to restart it and hope for it to work the first time. Homeschooling is stressful enough, this was supposed to relieve some of it. For me it defeats the purpose. I want to print from anywhere, anytime.

Good printer, but it is hard to change the ink cartridges due to the heavy lid. Also it is a challenge to make the printer not be wireless.

I print every few weeks or so. Not every day or every week. My old printer was there for me when I needed it, but eventually all things break down, so after looking around and reading reviews, this HP printer seemed like a good choice. HOWEVER, unlike my old printer, if I go a few weeks without printing anything, the color cartridges dry out, and even register as going empty on the display screen, no matter how much I try to run the cleaning program. I even had store employees tell me that this particular printer needs to be used on a regular basis to keep the cartridges from going dry; I really wish I had known that before purchasing, I would have purchased a printer better suited to my needs. Because I am now stuck with a printer that pretty much only prints in black-and-white when I randomly need a printout, I have to reluctantly give this item a low score. Hindsight is everything.

I’m sure most printers are the same, but this one seems to use a lot of ink, I don’t print a lot and it seems to run out about once a month.

Very disappointed in this printer. I've had it less than two years but have had problems with it printing what is shown in "print preview" from the beginning. It only prints out a portion of a document or photo. I purchased it to replace the previous HP printer doing the same thing. Will never purchase another HP printer.

Print quality is fine but ink runs out too fast. Ink cartridge replacement is a scam. Do yourself a favor and buy a laser printer.

Would not purchase again. Every time it sits idle for awhile it makes terrible noise when “waking up”. It’s like the alignment is “ off”. The paper lines up opposite of all printers I’ve ever owned. Took a couple times before I realized the paper lines up opposite ends than most. It’s a cheaper version of other HP.’s I’ve owned. I only bought it as it was on sale. I’d rather spend more and maybe will try another brand. My last 2 HP didn’t even last 14 months. HP tech were no help

      Hi there,

I'm so sorry to hear that the printer has been so noisy! This certainly shouldn't be happening and I can imagine how disruptive it must be. With that said, I hope I can help with a suggestion or two.

First off, I'd like to clarify something about the noisiness. While your printer is powered up, it makes sure that the nozzles are regularly cleared, which can be noisy, especially if the printer is on a hard surface. One thing you try to stifle this a bit is placing the printer on a padded surface to muffle the vibrations.

Then, I recommend cleaning the printhead, as this often resolves alignment issues. For information on how to do so, you can visit 6 of the following troubleshooting guide: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04855186

If the suggestions I've provided fall short, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for support. We're always here to help, so you can get in touch anytime via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

I thought this would be better then my old house printer for heat transfer photo designs but it's average. I would spend extra money on it. It's a basic printer

It works fine out of the box. I just try to forget that I’ll need 75$ worth of ink cartridges every month or so. It’s super duper ridiculous that it holds only 50 sheets of paper. Welp, as I was typing this my wife informed me it just fell offline. I guess It’s time we all just acknowledge and accept that these things are just disposable.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has used ink so rapidly and has failed to maintain a reliable wireless connection. I can understand why this would be a frustrating combination, so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems, including wireless connectivity and printer-offline issues. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

Here are some facts on ink use that might help you get more prints without too much extra effort:
      - A high-density print (such as an image or graph) uses ink more quickly than a text-only document, particularly if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
      - Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer to 'park' so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.

If any problem persists, I recommend that you reach out to us so we can work through any necessary troubleshooting with you. On our site you can get help from a virtual agent, get troubleshooting documents specific to your printer or search our extensive knowledge library. Get in touch via this link: support.hp.com
