This printer is very solid and would be great for a student due to its quality construction, all-in-one function and smaller size which provides better portability. Although it is compact it can copy, scan and print documents or photos – no fax ability but the need for faxing is shrinking. There is a black cartridge and one multicolor cartridge to install. I printed a photo and it was beautiful; by the way, I printed the photo directly from my phone using the HP Smart App. In addition to printing photos taken on the phone, this app also allows me to do a camera scan and to even print photos from my Facebook account using the phone. You can also change printer settings from the phone app – which is nice if you are remote from the printer. You will need to install the HP Print Service Plug-in on your phone, but it will be called out automagically for you to install. Color copies and scans were bright and colors were really great. It quickly is configured wirelessly and also has a USB port. In the front lower left is an SD card slot you might miss since it is behind a circular cover that you push in on one side to reveal the SD Card slot. I found the simplest way to install the printer on Windows 10 is to simply use control panel to display your printers and click add a printer. Although this printer is called the HP Envy Photo 7155, the only available drivers are for the 7100 series printers. I did notice some confusion here as HP has a few other printers that use designations like D7100 or C7100 but they are not this printer. At this time I could not find the drivers on the HP web site but the aforementioned method did find them, no problem. This is an early release of a brand new design printer so the web site is not quite fully functional yet. I should mention that you need to be sure to push the cartridges in all the way to get a solid 'click', if you are a little rushed you may think you have them in but you don't. Per normal HP high quality all the functions worked great and I feel this is a super printer at this price point and certainly like the integration with HP's phone app. Everything from the paper trays to the scanner bed to opening the cover to reveal the cartridges is very well designed and super solid. I loved this printer and plan to take it along for things like vacations at time share cottages since it is compact, rugged and does so much. I can take a photo on the beach with my phone and send it to the printer - nice.

This would have been 5 stars if not for terrible set up instructions.whatever happened to a instruction book that you can read,not just pictures

Overall this is a good printer but having problems with the paper tray and HP hasn’t gotten back to me.

I ended up returning this because I didn’t like the software it forces you to install. It also did stay on my network reliably.

Having trouble learning how to use this printer. More complicated than Canon printers. Not real pleased with my choice. Sorry

Set up was a bit of a challenge. Using some of the features are not as intuitive as I would like. Our last HP printer was better on those 2 points.

The black cartridge hardly printed couple of papers before it stopped working. The color one came to rescue.

does lots of things, takes a lot of time to get set up, and running, not crazy about instant ink, get out of my machine, nosey Rosey.

Works great when connected wireless or hard wired. But has a tendency to lose connection.

Hard to say since this is the third time I have had problems or replaced the printer. We shall see what happens this time

Took me a long time to get set up so I could print off laptop. Did upgrade on iPhone and could not get printer connected to laptop.

Does the job but still having issues with the print from mobile feature unless we're on the same network.

replaced my other printer -- so hope this works ok--the other printer did not print right and rollers would grind

THIS HAS NOT BEED AN EASY PRODUCT TO USE.. IT WORKS FINE FOR NORMAL COPY BUT TRYING TO SET FOR PHOTO PAPER IS A PAIN AND WASTE MANY COPIES TRYING

It seems to be a good printer however there are issues. I only can print from my IPad, not from my laptop. I need to contact HP for a resolution.

The printer works fine with I pad and I phone but will not connect with our computers at home over the wireless system. Computers see the printer but show it as off line. When you try to correct, you are told that you are missing the correct drivers but after repeatedly downloading what HP shows as the correct drivers and running their trouble shooter, still no go. At this point our work around (until we junk it and try something new) is to email documents to our phones and print them that way

The print quality seems great. Especially photos but it is very loud. So depends on what matters right?

I LIKE THE FACT THAT IS ALL IN ONE BUT IT IS VERY SLOW, I WISH WAS A LITTLE FASTER AND NOT SO DELICATE BUT FOR THE PRICE IS A GOOD PRICE

logitech webcam has not been used yet but was easy to install and fits just right on the monitor.

OK, not great. Regular paper tray only prints when also has photo paper loaded into photo tray. Otherwise, OK
