This printer worked ok until the factory-installed ink cartridges ran out. I then replaced them with HP cartridges. The printer made me reinstall the color cart. about 8 times before it stopped giving me an error message. I then tried to set up for scanning and now after 20+ tries the black cart. is still not being recognized. I can't print, and I can't scan. This has been the biggest waste of money I have ever put into hardware. I tried to get help online and the virtual guy said I couldn't return the product because I bought it online. I almost got to chat with a real person, but they just disappeared and there I was stuck with virtual useless guy again.

Installation software would not load. Needed the assistance of the geek squad to load driver software. Once up and running, everything runs fine.

It worked great when I first got it. Now all the printing is wavy. I bought protection in it so I’m going to have to bring it to get fixed

Pricey for what we got. Not that much of an improvement over the $99 3520 version but nearly double the cost.

Unfortunately I don't print enough to keep ink fresh and it fries my printers, hp, brother, all of em. Guess I'll have to go laser.

VERY disappointed in this printer. I was going to return it. I had a much better model before and it was crummy too, that was returned! LOVED my old Cannon but they did not have any. With the choices I had at the time, I just grabbed this. The touch screen stinks. I had to CALL HP, after an hour of them babbling asking me if I'm enrolled in insta ink WHO CARES.......Just to find out how to clean nozzles. Yes simple things are not in the books. It still prints with LINES through it. But after close to 3+ hours yesterday I don't have the energy. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!! The support is sadly bad.

      Hi there,

I'm so sorry about the disappointing experience you've had with both the printer and support so far. We always aim to deliver much more reliability and efficiency in both regards, so I regret that we fell short. I can imagine how inconvenient it is to receive prints with lines each time, so I'd love to see how else I can help.

As it sounds like these lines are linked to a print quality issue, what I'd recommend is following all of the steps in this improvement guide: support.hp.com/document/c05551101

If this doesn't provide a resolution, I do hope that you'll consider reaching out to us for support one more time. We would be grateful for an opportunity to make this right, so please don't hesitate to give us another call.

Initially this printer worked great but now when I try to print a document it sounds like it is dying. This is for a home office and only gets used maybe once a week so I expected it to last longer. Very disappointed that already I have to look for another printer (wish I could return this one).

I bought this after reviewing which printers are compatible with Mac OS Catalina... suffice it to say between myself (somewhat technically savvy) and our (paid) AV expert, we still could not get printer to recognize our wifi (despite wifi name showing up during the HP setup process). I have not been able to get anyone from HP to help me. So as of now—it is a huge waste of money!!

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer would not connect like it should, and that you’ve not been able to reach a support agent. I can understand why that would make for a very frustrating experience, so I’ll offer some resources and information that I hope will help.

I can’t tell from your review why your printer would not connect to your computer, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

The pictures of lines in them and so do all other documents. We have run all cleaning options on the printer and they have not helped.
