Wi-Fi Connected Printers Have Come A Long Way
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer works best as a wireless accessed device. A lot of the features are not available if connected to a PC with a USB cable. You can set this thing up with an Android or Apple Smartphone or any Wi-Fi connected PC or MAC. You visit 123.hp.com and go from there when setting up the printer. You also visit 123.hp.com from computers and smartphones to setup your connection to the printer and get software/apps to help you use the printer. Can setup an email address to simply email documents or photos to be printed by the printer. My wife setup her Google Drive as a "Printer App" on the printer, and you can print documents/photos directly from Google Drive at the printer if you wish, but it would be easier to do from a computer honestly. But the Google Drive setup does let you scan to Google Drive directly from the Printer Screen or through PC/phone Apps, which is the best use of the Google Apps integration. It does automatic double-sided printing, which I really like. The scan/copy function works well locally at the printer, and you can do basic scan to email as well. You can setup to use a ink-subscription based service with a monthly fee to print X number of pages a month, with a set overage fee for above that, and rollover pages that go to the next month. Think slightly older cell phone plans in concept. Can print photos and documents from the smartphone app. Only fancy feature I couldn't get to work was the HP Print Bot integration into Facebook Messenger, which would allow you to chat with the bot and print things from Messenger. It won't recognize the email name of the printer. All in all this works much better than any Wi-Fi or networked printer I have ever used. Prints nice photos too.

Not happy with printer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this printer but when I print something from my computer it only comes out in black & white. Never had a computer that didn't print in color from the computer. If I print from a color document, it comes out in color but anything in color on my computer only prints out in black & white. Very disappointed in this machine.

Posted .Hi, Barbsie.
I'm sorry to hear that your printer has not printed all print jobs in color like it should. It’s easy to understand why the inconsistency you describe in color vs. black-and-white printing would be quite confusing and eventually frustrating, so I’ll offer some resources that I hope will help.
I can’t tell from your review why your printer is performing like this, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Would Not Recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wish I had returned this printer. Or, better yet, had not purchased it to begin with. There is a problem with the printer tray which causes message to come up after every use saying check printer. The tray doesn't fit well. Have seen others looking for solution. Haven't been pleased with picture print out as well. Was a cheap purchase and I guess you get what you pay for.

Posted .Hi there,
I'm so sorry to hear about these problems with the printer's tray. I can imagine these error messages have been quite inconvenient, so I want to make sure we get this resolved for you.
The first thing I'd like to mention is that HP printers generally have a 1-year warranty from their date of purchase. You can make use of it to arrange for a repair or replacement, as long as your warranty is active. To verify this, you can visit this link: support.hp.com/checkwarranty
If your printer is indeed under warranty, I recommend contacting us for support. We'd be more than happy to discuss a possible repair or replacement. You can give us a call at +1 800-474-6836 between the hours of 8 am - 9 pm ET. To expedite the process a bit, you can gather this information beforehand:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Your case number (from prior contact with support)
We look forward to making this right!

I miss the plug in and the machines talk to each other and installs - the part i have installed work fine =, just do not have time to install all the rest

Do not buy this - does not print full text
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP printer with instant ink. Well it looks good when they advertise but the product does not work. More than product the HP help desk is worst. Online medium does not have knowledge or ability or access to help and it took them 12 hrs of discussion over 5 days to understand the issue. Printer printing half characters and replacement ink which was solution from HP, never got registered and never worked. All troubleshooting is only directed to make customer frustrated. Wrong choice of going to HP, throwing this in dumpster as even within warranty they are not replacing it.
