Unable to connect to my HP laptop. Best Buy Geek Squad Tech very helpful but could not do it either after confirming everything up to date . Returned to store hassle free which is most appreciated and bought a different model - works fine. Could be just a one off defective machine.

This is the third model 7155 printerr I have ordered within the last three weeks. The first one did not work for unknown reasons. I could not set the second one up because its digital screen did not work. The third one works -- so far. But I wish I had ordered another brand. My experience suggests that HP could use better quality control at the factory.

Good Multifunction Inkjet, But No Photo Envy

I was looking forward to the photo printing ability of the HP Envy Photo 7155 all-In-One Printer, but I ended up disappointed. After unboxing the printer, you remove a few pieces of tape, install the ink cartridges, and then use the app to complete setup with your Wi-Fi network. The setup process was quick and fairly painless. I immediately experimented with printing different types of documents, making single sheet copies, and printing photos. I was very pleased with every feature other than the photo printing. The first photo I attempted came out horribly botched. It looked like some sort of art experiment, and ink smeared inside the printer itself. Of course, it also got on my hands. I've dealt with a lot of printers, but this really surprised me. After cleaning it thoroughly and verifying that everything was properly setup, I ran a few more regular print jobs and then decided to try printing another photo. As with the first photo, this was an uncompressed jpeg from my Pixel phone. The second photo didn't look like an art experiment, but the finish on the glossy paper still wasn't good enough - even on the 5x7 sheet - that I'd want to show it to anyone. Maybe I got a lemon. I don't know. Anyway, despite the poor photo quality, everything else works great. I gave it three stars for all the good stuff, but I couldn't give it more because it has "Photo" in the name and, well, it doesn't live up to the name. In terms of quality inkjets, there are cheaper products that do the job, so I can't really recommend this one overall, at this time. But I will say again that it does a fine job with basic printing and copying. I just think you'll be able to get a better deal on another printer.

      Hi, Cleo.

I’m sorry to learn that your printer stopped working about a year after you purchased it. Your review is brief, but it’s easy to understand why this would be an unwelcome surprise. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll provide some resources and information I hope will reach that goal.

You mention that you’ve had the printer about a year. HP printers have a one-year warranty from the purchase date that covers basic support as well as hardware and supplies. Perhaps you, like some people, purchased an extended warranty. You can check the warranty status of your device using the following link:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

If your printer is still covered, you can contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action.

If your printer is no longer covered, you might consider posting the details of your issue on our support forums. This is an active community of seasoned experts, including some former and current HP employees, who can work with you to get your printer running as it should. To access this, visit the following link:
      - hp.com/supportforum

I hope this helps and, again, our sincerest apologies.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer arrived without setup cartridges. It’s easy to understand why that would be quite an unsettling surprise, so I’ll offer some resources that I hope will help.

First, I can’t say for sure what happened in your situation, but what you describe can occur when a printer is sold, returned to the seller, then sold again to a different buyer without being adequately inspected before shipment. Because you expected to receive a printer with all the necessary components, I recommend you contact the seller to address this promptly. You can find the seller by scrolling to the bottom of the Best Buy website and clicking Orders & Returns.

I will also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date, so you might make use of it if you need to. To verify the warranty, you can use the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Remember you can always contact us for support whenever you need as well. We're always here and more than happy to help you. You can reach us via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

      Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear that your printer has given you printhead difficulty. I can understand why essentially losing the print function would be tremendously frustrating, so I’ll offer some resources that I hope will help.

First, I recommend following the steps listed in this guide to improving print quality, including faded or streaked prints, color or black ink not printing properly or at all, and blurred or fuzzy text:

If that doesn’t address the issue, or if the problem persists, I hope you’ll contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting.
