Avoid at all costs
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst printer / scanner I've ever purchased. If you let it sit too long without use the next time you use it the prints will appear faded to the point where you cant read any of it. Also the scanner NEVER worked. The scans resulted in a black image with multiple colored lines.

this printer is terrible
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i've had this printer for a few months and i hate it. it was hard to originally set up. the touch screen is very small and complicated. every time it prints it shoots out a blank page first. if i go a week between printings i have to clean the heads. also, best buy service is terrible.

The printer is smearing the output
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was away for 3 weeks and when I came back the printer was smearing the pages, tried everything and still no go. I only got 10 pages out of this printer, and this is the second HP printer to do this to me in the last year. I am going to cross HP printers off my list and never buy one again.

Posted .Hi, Angelo.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has started rendering prints of poor quality. It’s easy to understand why seeing smeared ink on prints would quickly become exasperating, especially after troubleshooting with no resolution, so I’ll offer some resources and information that I hope will help.
First, I recommend following the steps listed in this guide to improving print quality, including streaked or faded prints, blurred or fuzzy text, and color or black ink not printing properly or at all:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05541385
If the issue persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

1 Year later - All sorts of issues
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A year later and the printer never seems capable of working without going through 5-15 minutes of troubleshooting. I understand that HP is one of the best when it comes to "Planned Obsolescence" for consumer goods...but this is ridiculous.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Color Ink Cartridge, after less than 6 months and very little use, began only printing magenta. Replaced color cartridge-still just printed magenta... Printer problem or cartridge problem? Either way, extremely disappointed.

Poorly designed printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got a notice on my printer's screen telling me that my insta ink account has been cancelled. Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry to learn that your printer has taken such a bad turn in performance. I can certainly understand why a contradictory error message and jarring sounds would be upending, considering you’ve not used the device much since getting it about a year ago. I want to help you remedy these problems, so I’ll provide some resources and information.
First, regarding paper jam messages, as you’ve discovered, sometimes these can be real or false, meaning the printer might report an error when there is no jammed paper. I recommend referencing the steps in the document linked below to troubleshoot real as well as false paper jams. Perhaps it will also help eliminate the noise you’re hearing:

If you need further support, there are options. HP printers have a one-year warranty from the purchase date that covers basic support as well as hardware and supplies. You can verify the warranty using the following link:
- support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
If your printer is still covered, you can contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution.
If your printer is no longer covered, you might consider posting the details of your issue on our support forums. This is an active community of seasoned experts, including some former and current HP employees, who can work with you to get your printer running as it should. I screeches when it prints
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made a mistake and hurry purchased this product without realizing it does not have a fax nor a tray for continuous feed for scanning. Plus, it screeches when it prints. It sounds like it is going to fall apart.

Must Have all-in-printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice sleek compact all-in-printer. This is great for a home/office. Easy set-up, wi-fi connectivity. Works great with my Apple devices, no need to download a e-print app just connect the printer to the same wi-fi as your Apple devices and print away. For Android you will have to download the hp print app to print wirelessly. Love the color touch screen, not too loud when printing and prints fairly quick. Nice addition of instant ink, it will send hp a notification to send ink when running low nice feature to have so you never have to go without ink or try to run to a store and find ink. Definitely look no further if your in the market for a all-in-one this one is great!
