Like that it is smaller than the older HP that's being replaced but not having a bigger capacity for paper is a bummer, also was told this was okay for printing other things just not photos but looking more it should only be for photos so that's a bummer had some difficulty setting it up through computer had to use printers panel. I am able to print from phone and Chromebook but not from the main computer yet.

      Hi, Rose.

I’m sorry to hear that your experience with the printer has been not only difficulty but also different than what you expected. I can certainly tell why a combination of the feature disappointments and the inability to print from your main computer would be a bad start to owning a device. I’d love to help you get the printer working to your satisfaction, so I’ll provide some resources I hope will accomplish that goal.

First, if you still need it for your main computer, I recommend you follow a setup tutorial specific to your printer you can find on our support site. If you believe you’re past that, on the same page you can also access troubleshooting guides (including ones on connectivity), user guides, how-to documents and software updates. Do that by following this link:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/9073160

You can visit another page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including connectivity. On that page you’ll also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning difficulties. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

If any problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Easy setup, great printing and cloud options and good print quality, but some small quirks and low tri-color ink capacity. It get the jon done, but there area better printers available.

I like all the new technology that comes with the Envy. Has easy to use touch screen. All is good, except my printer makes a funny loud noise before printing (which is quiet). Tech support tried to resolve this issue, but it still makes a concerning noise. Need to address this further.

I needed a printer to work from home during the pandemic and a coworker recommended this one. It does everything I need to make my job easier. I love that you can copy scan and print. I haven’t used it for photos yet, but I plan to. Really happy I made this purchase.

Needs better instructions for set up. We have multiple devices and it was a pain to set up on phones, but even worse on desktop and laptop. When it does print, the quality is great.

Geek Squad technician was professional and personable. He quickly installed the printer and answered all my questions. It was a nice experience and the actual installation took less than 20 minutes. I love the printer and the ink quality.

Wanted everything in the office to be match. Wasn't planning on buy this printer. But the extra tray for printing was nice. The ink has a chip in it and will make sure that you never run out of ink. It orders ink for you when it's low.

Being a teacher, I have always had an all-in-one. My last 2 were expensive duds. I went for this one and I'm totally pleased. Why 4 stars instead of 5? It only holds 125 sheets of paper and the touchscreen is too small.

Where to start? I know when this product request was issued by Best Buy there was a mention that HP wanted to get reviews on their newest Envy Photo Smart printer in quickly. After I put in my request, I went onto HP's website to see what they were saying about it-no information at all. At the time I did not realize how that could work against myself. At any rate, as usual, the printer was well packed within its box and arrived in tact with no evidence of damage. However, other than the printer and its power cord, there was very little else in that box and I mean little-no installation CD and no User manual with substantial explanations; just an abbreviated pamphlet. I planned to install this to computers and netbooks, as well as use for on the go printing from either a tablet or phone. So, I went onto the HP website and still there was no information loaded on my machine-I put in the model, nothing, I put in the serial number, nothing, I put in the product code, nothing, nothing, nothing. Well, by this time I was super frustrated. I Googled HP customer service numbers on the web and came up with a bunch of them. Well, I called one number and was sent to some offshore person, a woman who was heavily accented and was quite combative. I expressed that I had been hunting for a download to install the driver and she said that I would have to pay for it, to which I exclaimed horror since this was a brand new product. I then asked to speak to a technical person in the US and she gave me the number 800-474-6836. I called the 800 number and got a very nice tech man in the Philippines and he told me that all HP tech help was offshore. He told me that there currently was neither a CD nor website downloads to load the driver so he used Windows to add the printer. He said that even they did not have much information on the new Envy 7855 printer at this time. I explained to him about my experience with the woman I mentioned above and while he did not know for sure, he apologized for my experience and did say that HP does use some third party, non-HP employees and maybe that is who I dealt with; he agreed there should not be a charge for a driver on a new product. He also gave me the toll free number 855-785-2777 because I mentioned that I had an android tablet and telephone that I might need help with. By the way, those toll free numbers should provide free help for the first 12 months of ownership. So, needless to say that I had a very frustrating experience getting this printer installed on my home computer. Did HP not think that customers would want to install them like I did? Otherwise, the printer is easy to set up and includes limited use ink cartridges that are quite small-one black and one tricolor. I did print and all went okay. I like that this printer has a 35 page ADF and behind a small door on the lower left side while facing it there is an enclosed compartment for either a jump drive or SD card for printing that allows you to bypass the computer altogether to print pictures. The screen is easy to read and with finger touch allows copying, scanning, faxing, photo printing, and numerous apps. In fact, the photo app allows you to crop and do many editing functions right on the screen without any computer software. The apps, through the Wi-Fi connection, allow the printer to access the HP connect server, and other software applications such as Dropbox, Stamps.Com, etc. I believe other apps might be loadable through the HP Connect website. As of the time of this review, I did not have time yet to test using my tablet or phone for printing. However, I did go to the Google Play Store and download the HP printer pug-in for my tablet that from what I read, is the interface for printing from that tablet.

All in one with fax capability, this thing does it all. Wasn't looking for the best printer, just a printer for infrequent use. The ink cartridges on this thing do not dry out despite a month of inactivity. This thing does the job without busting your wallet or breaking the bank.

Nice printer. Two reasons for the four stars, disappointed in the screen size compared to the same printer in an older model and would have preferred the ink to be in separate cartridges. Besides those two items this is a super nice printer!!

I purchased this all-in-one printer for it's ability to scan multiple documents in one feed besides the fact that it prints also. I needed to have a device that scanned multiple paged documents and I also needed a printer so this all-in-one was the way to go.

while this printer may print well, and the integrated ink refills is near, the machine itself is a piece of junk. After just a few weeks, it stopped connecting to my wifi and spins at start up. Then, because I need to scan, I started using the scan to media device, which worked twice. Now, the machine will not recognize any thumb drive nor media card and I cannot use that feature. And, since I can't get it to connect to the wifi, I cannot use it as a scanner. It only an ink jet color printer, which won't connect to my laptop - because again it won't connect to wifi. Lots of diagnostic testing and internet searching has not rwsolved the issue. Basically, dont waste your money. Spend a little more to get a more reliable machine. I know I will be.

The printer prints fine and I like the design.... However, HP seems to be a little cheap to not have "real" ink cartridges with printer... It comes with "Set Up" cartridges...(which you don't really notice when installing). That will give you about three Photos before you run out of ink... Then you have to go buy real HP ink cartridge's... The Tri Color XL cartridge will run another $50 with tax and the Black XL cartridge will be around $25 with tax.. So know that this printer will cost you at least $75 more to be functional. Plus if you buy the printer for a job and run out of ink immediately, you too will be as angry as I was....
