So far it’s been a good experience. The only thing I don’t like about it so far is that it won’t do double-sided Scanning or copying but it will print double-sided!!!

Seems to work well at document printing, However, I have been unable to print pictures. My main complaint is the lack of a manual with the printer.

Printer works fine but there are no really detailed docs that come with it. It refers you to the website for info but even that is not really informative on details of operation.

Love the printer. The ink could last a little longer but I suppose that’s just what newer printers are doing now.

The XL size is definitely worth the additional cost. Felt like I was replacing cartridges every other week when I used the cheaper size.

I really like my HP Envy printer 7855. Especially because it uses WiFi and I have had to print many times for me and my family. Very handy to be able to print from iPhones and iPads!!! Great buy!

My old HP finally bit the dust. Had good luck with it so decided to purchase another HP Printer plus scanner combined. Love it & got it while on sale. Scanner has also come in handy. Happy with my purchase.

Doesn't print color photos without black lines

I had already had a very bad experience purchasing a refurbished HP Envy Photo 7855 due to the incompetence of the HP Customer Rep who insisted that I did not need the set up cartridges to finish setting that printer (you DO need the set up ink cartridges even if it is refurbished!) which I returned. Note: Best Buy handled the return promptly. Decided to take a leap of faith in HP and ordered a brand new Envy Photo 7855. Image my dismay when I attempted to print a colored photo and it was striated with very noticeable colored & black lines. Plus it took forever to print, the printer actually stopping in the middle of the print job to think about what it was doing! I tried again, this time using a flash drive and working through the printer instead of the computer. Same results. Thinking the printer did not like the Kodak Photo Paper, I switched to HP Photo Paper: same results! Now I didn't really expect to get gallery quality prints, not with a printer costing $200 plus, but I did expect to have prints without lines. I'm very seriously thinking of going to eBay to see if someone out there has the printer I replaced with this over-priced, over-hyped printer. The HP 4630 All in One never produced a bad print of my photos!. If I wanted a printer that only produced good black ink prints,ie documents, I would have purchased a $50 printer. NO, I would not recommend this printer to anyone who wants to produce prints of their photos for family/friends.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has rendered prints of poor quality. I can understand why seeing lines on your prints even after going through several stages of troubleshooting would be quite frustrating, so I’ll point to some resources and offer some information I hope will help.

First, I recommend following the steps listed in this guide to improving print quality, including faded or streaked prints, color or black ink not printing properly, and blurred or fuzzy text:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05541385

If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Our second HP printer like this and love them. Got this one for my wife to use so we both have one now. Instant Ink is also a great deal for both of them!

Has a lot of potential, but had a lot of issues trying to print small photos. Took me a while to try and figure out. Once I did, it has been a decent printer.

I have been a die-hard HP customer for 20 yrs. This printer has been a disappointment from the moment I took it out of the box. Long gone, apparently are the days of plug and go. The hook-up/connecting process was so difficult that I had to get GeekSquad on the phone. Over and over again. Once the printer was finally connected, my computer/Wifi keeps dropping it. Creating multiple more calls to GeekSquad. The quality seems to be good, though it is incredibly slow. This is not a printer I would buy again.

Unable to load software from online site. Had to contact the Geek Squad to make the necessary adjustments to my PC. I liked it when a disk came with the product to complete the upload.

Printer that doesn't scan two sided

A little disappointed considering I did research but not enough apparently. I even asked the guy at Bestbuy if I could print and scan double sided and was told yes (one of the reasons I was buying a new printer for), brought it home and found out that it prints both sides but doesn't scan both sides. The printer I wanted, Bestbuy didn't have so I settled on this one. Since buying this printer, it better then my last one and I will settle for that.
