I bought the same model that I had previously. I had to install it three times and it still did not work properly. Got a former Geek squad member. Still would not scan. I got another techie to help. Kept getting error message to reinstall drivers. There were none. It turned out that the software was not compatible with my newest version of Apple OS. Would have to scan from the computer and could not use the scan from the printer. Per HP they were not going to update the download for Apple. This is the last HP product I will ever purchase.

Today was the first time I had to replace the black toner cartridge. I replaced the black toner cartridge with a new HP 64. The printer is not recognizing this is a new black ink cartridge. I’ve taken it out and put it in 10 times. The black ink cartridge did click in and is in line with the color ink cartridge. I will have to take this printer back to Best Buy to see if the printer is defective. Unable to print at this time.

Poor printer for printing photos

I also purchased the 2 year Geek Squad product replacement package. We were impressed with the service we got that day, at the start of the pandemic. Soon after purchase, I discovered that the color cartridges for this printer lasted a very short time. I print my photos on this, and it's nothing to have to replace it more than once a day during a photo printing session, and that has gotten very expensive. When my cartridges were ready to be replaced, I did it locally, from WalMart. When I finally got set up for automatic replacement, I got the first cartridge with no problem. However , since then the cartridges have not been available three times. I've been forced now to rely on cartridge replacement services, which is far from ideal. This product is not sitting well with me, and I feel like I am going to have to replace it after less than 4 months, especially if HP is no longer making the color cartridges. (WalMart and Sams no longer have them either.)

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve experienced difficulties getting replacement cartridges for your printer. It’s easy to see why that would quickly become frustrating, especially if you’re printing personal or professional photos, so I’ll offer some information I hope will help.
I’m not sure by “automatic replacement services” you mean our Instant Ink program, but, based on the fact that Instant Ink cartridges are not interchangeable with others, I believe you mean something else.
As an explainer, Instant Ink is a printing plan, not a cartridge purchasing service. This means you choose a plan based on the number of pages you would like to print monthly. You are billed monthly at the end of each billing cycle. Replacement cartridges are shipped as needed based on usage, not by the month. Instant Ink cartridges contain much more ink than cartridges you could buy at a retailer, so they last much longer.
