Good prints, hate HP Instant Ink
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printer is great, but the HP Instant Ink sucks. Printer does not print unless you have a subscription. I don’t use my printer often, but to be held hostage to their program wasn’t what I had anticipated.

I should have stuck with my OfficeJet Pro!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Communication is sometimes difficult. The control pad stays lit all the time. Message when printing from ipad frequently says no paper but there is paper and I then print from laptop.

Wouldn't Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed since I had great printers with others HP's I have bought. Have to turn on and off to stay connected to wifi, small paper holder, etc.

Still learning how to use it. It prints so noisy.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Support was located in India. This is not good as I can’t understand their speech. Why isn’t there a manual supplied with the item? Finally, found an option to make it print with no noise.

Not good for a lot of use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want a workhorse, this is not the guy for you. I use it moderately for my home business and it likes to turn off when you scan too much. Ink doesn’t last too long. This is for light use. Scan quality not so great

Photo Envy 7855
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The print overview is good. When switching back to plain paper, it keeps grabbing multiple pages at once and jams. Not so good.

Posted .Hello there,
I’m sorry to hear that your printer’s document feeder has not worked like it should. I can clearly see why this would be a jarring surprise for a new printer, so I’ll point you toward some resources that I hope will help you get your printer working like it should.
First, I recommend you follow the steps in this troubleshooting guide for your kind of issue:
- support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-photo-7800-all-in-one-printer-series/9073159/model/9073160/document/c01728503
You might also find useful information in this guide to document feeders that fail to pick up paper or push through too many pages:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503
If you need further assistance, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Worst home electronics product I ever purchased.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the worst home electronics purchase I ever made. The printer itself is fine but the support and software is horrendous. I can't get clear direction on how to use the printer much less solve problems from the HP website. There is no customer service number and the automated and emailed support keeps crashing or no one responds. The worst part is that everything is run through HP's cloud services so if the services are down, your software is down and when your software is down, the hardware is useless. I have had several incidents where the application would crash or act inconsistently and I couldn't get any support from HP on it. I was already fed up but then today, the application wouldn't connect. I tried numerous fixes and reinstalls all to no avail. Without the software working, I can't print photos and I can't scan documents. With no customer service to speak of to fix it, I am staring at a $220 paperweight.

I like HP but not their inkjets
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't think I'm ever going to buy an inkjet printer again especially HP inkjets...I am a professional computer consultant and I have never seen one of their inkjet printers last longer than a year or two...and if you scan to it you will be constantly reloading drivers and reconnecting to device...stick with the color lasers. They are a little pricey but in the long run they will save you a fortune.

Not that great at scanning
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can’t figure out why the scanner will not work without using the Microsoft scan function. I never had that happen on any other HP printer. Really disappointing.
