Does not work
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It simply does not work. It does not recognize the new printer cartridges. Won't let me go past installation of the cartridge in the set up. Asked Best Buy if I should go get a new cartridge, that maybe the one in the box was bad. They said no, the cartridge would be good and to call the Geek Squad. But hours and hours of hold time, no Geek Squad. I'll try one more time to the Geek Squad and then return the product as it simply does not work.

Too expensive to use
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer in hopes of making some programs for a memorial. Those were the most expensive programs ever! After having to replace the toner cartridges about 6 times to make 90 pages front and back, and the paper it wastes every time you turn it on, it was a poor investment in my opinion. The color of the product wasn’t as great as I had hoped either.

Posted .Hi, Tanya.
I’m sorry to learn that your printer used ink more rapidly than you’d anticipated. I can certainly understand why needing six sets of cartridges to produce 90 pages for a memorial service would be an unpleasant surprise after buying the device. I want to help you understand what happened and, if there’s a problem with the printer, remedy that problem.
First, I’ll point out that XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 415 to 600 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 165 to 200 pages. That said, how cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including the resolution of images or graphics used, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.
Regardless, because your results differ so dramatically from the numbers above, I believe this deserves further investigation. I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Not what I felt was told me online
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product was less much less than expected, it runs out of ink after just 30 to 45 pages, and, it is not as crisp in color as I had expected, then another major issue it it does not do double sided through the Document unless one does it manually. I wish I had not purchased this item. I am totally unhappy with this purchase. I think I am or have been mislead by the website on this product as it will not work for my in home office. I would like to bring it back and fast!

Absolute piece of GARBAGE
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute piece of garbage. Always had difficulty connecting...always. Do not waste your time with this printer unless you want to replicate the scene from Office Space where the guy beats the printer with a baseball bat.

Not Reliable. Stick with a Canon printer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer stopped printing correctly shortly after a year. HP won’t even help me troubleshoot the problem because it’s out of warranty. I barely even used it and HP is clearly more interested in selling ink subscriptions than they are selling good machines. I had a much cheaper Canon Pixma that lasted several years and I only bought cheap replacement ink for it once

Not as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printer drank ink like crazy, kept loosing network connection and the printer would stop when HP software gave a low ink warning and wanted me to sign up for automatic ink delivery from HP I would have gone broke at the rate that printer used ink. Took it back and got another printer.

Second HP 7855 and it failed
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to return the first 7855 HP printer because it started printing horizontal lines and wouldn't print an entire page. It was only a couple months old. Geek Squad swapped it out for a new HP 7855 and now it's doing the same thing. There is plenty of ink, heads cleaned, maintenance done according to manufacture and it still prints with lines and faded ink. I will be returning this one and buying a different brand that is more reliable.

Poor quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm on the 3rd one because the first 2 had defective software, now this one is having problems. If I need to return this one I feel after 3 tries I should get an upgrade to a different printer and it should not cost me extra money as it has already cost me money in the time I've spent bringing it out to Best Buy 2 times and now possibly a 3rd time. I will say that Best Buy and Geek Squad has treated me courteously and professionally through all this.

Ink cartridges not acknowledged
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer would not recognize the color ink cartridges when installing. Returned Defective printer, Customer Service unwilling to determine if cartridge problem, I did not replace with same model as considered this maybe a possible problem with this model of printer; also same printer $100 less at competition store. Purchased replacement elsewhere.

Awful printer
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this printer for two months and it consistently has paper jams, requires power cycling, takes a very long time to power back up and ink is already starting to smear and show signs of print head defects. Over $200 for and absolute piece of garbage and of course Best Buy isn't willing to do anything to make it right.
