Extraneous Black Bar on Printed Page

I returned this printer because it randomly printed a black bar down the side of a page. HP assigned me a case number and I waited for a return call but my return period approached and I had no return call. Hence the printer was returned.

      Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't had the easiest experience with the printer so far. I can assure you that's far from our intention, so I'd like to see how I can make this better.

First, here are the links where you can purchase the ink cartridges your printer takes:
      - Black: bestbuy.com/site/hp-64xl-high-yield-black-ink-cartridge-black/5976503.p?skuId=5976503
      - Color: bestbuy.com/site/hp-64xl-high-yield-tri-color-ink-cartridge-multicolor/5976502.p?skuId=5976502

For information on how to load paper and remove paper jams, I recommend taking a look at the respective chapters in your printer's user guide: h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05634824.pdf

Please also remember that we're always here for support. We'd be more than happy to help if you're unsure of certain features or experience any complications. You can get in touch via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

Goes into sleep mode and doesn't come out when trying to print. I have spent endless hours changing settings with no luck. Tried using the chat online and they wanted me to pay them $5.00. The only thing HP wants is to update my ink. Send separate color and black so they can charge more, rather than sending color and black combo. I made a big mistake giving HP a second chance.

Prints absolutely abysmal quality (genuinely illegible) documents at anything less than 1200 dpi, but the 1200 dpi option randomly disappears. Which means this printer can only sporadically even print a legible document, and even then only on an ink wasting setting. This paperweight is overpriced.
