      Hi there.

I’m sorry to learn that your printer has lost its wireless internet connection. I can’t be totally certain from your review, but it seems that this has interrupted the link needed to maintain your Instant Ink subscription. It’s no surprise you’re frustrated here. I want to help you resolve this, so I’ll provide some resources designed to do just that.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity. You can find that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

You can also find troubleshooting guides specific to your printer, including ones on connectivity, in addition to user manuals, how-to documents and software updates here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/9073160

If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      Hello Allie,

I’m sorry to hear that your printer arrived without the necessary setup ink cartridges. I can imagine how disappointing and disconcerting this must have been, so I want to make sure that I provide information to help you make it right.

First, I can’t say for sure what happened in your situation, but what you describe can occur when a printer is sold, returned to the seller, then sold again to a different buyer without being adequately inspected before shipment.

Because you expected to receive a printer with all the necessary components, I recommend you contact the seller to address this promptly. You can find the seller by scrolling to the bottom of the Best Buy website and clicking Orders & Returns.

If you need to, I hope you’ll contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      Hi, Gigi.

I’m sorry to hear that your printers have used more ink than you’d anticipated. You don’t mention approximately how many pages you got from the cartridges or the estimated page yields, but I’ll provide some information and resources I hope will help nonetheless.

Here are some things you can consider:
      - If it appears that a cartridge was low on ink to begin with, or that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you can always contact the seller who sent you the cartridge about that.
      - Contact us if the supplies are defective genuine cartridges that are not replaced by the vendor (and they are still within the “warranty ends” date on the cartridges). Reach out to us via this link: support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

Here are some facts on ink use that might help you get more prints without too much extra effort:
      - A high-density print (such as an image or graph) uses ink more quickly than a text-only document, particularly if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
      - Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer to 'park' so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.

If the problem persists, I recommend that you reach out to us so we can help you assess the situation and work through any necessary troubleshooting with you. Get in touch via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

I have been a big fan of hp printers so was happy to get the chance to review the 7855 All-in-one printer. As usual the print quality is great, but there are so many quirks and other issues with this printer that it's more difficult to use than it should be. Unpacking the printer was fine. It's packed well, and the quick set up instructions are clear. The size and weight are good for an all-in-one (it's half the size of my officejet pro, so that's nice). You'll see the first of MANY ads for HP's ink service in the literature. Get used to it, as it's everywhere. Set up started out simple, but you HAVE to download an app to complete it (if there's a way to do it without an app I couldn't find it). I downloaded the app and it was simple enough. It walks you through step-by-step to set it up and get connected. One fantastic innovation is the screen where it asks you to enter your router password IT ADDS A NUMBER LINE to the top of the letter line (my pixel usually makes me switch between screens)!!! This is maybe the most helpful thing any set up app has ever done. Small innovations like that are great, I just wish there'd been more. I had to go back and forth between my app and the touchscreen, but it's very easy for one to get ahead of the other so you'll likely find yourself clicking quickly through screens to get caught up. Don't click too quickly though, since you'll be asked again to sign up for HP's ink service. The opt out is very small, but it's there. It may be a good deal, but frankly I was so inundated with advertisements that it turned me off to the whole idea. Don't ask me if I'm sure once I've managed to see the very small opt out button. If you made me do that much work to find it then yes, I'm sure. Another annoyance is yet another redesigned ink cartridge. I get that printers have different designs, but a real innovation would be managing to make your ink cross compatible between models. Of course you'll be reminded you can always subscribe to the ink service! The new cartridges aren't any easier or more difficult to load than old ones, though the location is a bit odd. The other aspect of set up is loading the paper, and unfortunately that's a bit of a hassle too. The paper tray itself is nice, in that it holds both picture and printer paper in two separate compartments, one on top of the other. This would have been a fine design, except you have to remove the feed tray to really get to them. A minor annoyance, but these things add up. As far as printing goes the app gets some real points here. You can print directly from your phone, AND from facebook! It's very easy, though the editing options are limited. The pictures printed very well, though for some reason the "automatic paper size" detection detected 5 x 7 paper when it was 4 x 6. I checked the paper tray and everything was loaded tight. I had to remove the tray and paper, then load the paper again. The next time I tried the app it was the right size. Not sure if that's on the printer or the app, but again, another minor annoyance. I also tried to change the "layout" option on several pictures, but it printed them the same way no matter what I chose. The quality of the pictures was terrific, but it wasn't really responsive to what I was choosing on the app. The touchscreen on the printer itself is extremely responsive. You can scan, copy, or print pictures from a memory card or thumb drive. This worked very well and didn't have the same problems printing from the phone did. The most annoying thing by far is that the printer just seems to "lose" it's connection from time-to-time. I printed three pictures from the app, then the app said "no printer found". I had to unplug and plug it in again, as the touch screen was also unresponsive. That's happened twice so far. I don't know if it's a software issue or what, but it's extremely annoying when it happens. You'll know right away on your phone since it won't detect your printer, but it's harder to tell trying to print from a network device. I suspect it's an early software issue and that a patch will be forthcoming for it, but it's annoying. These are all minor things but they're enough to really affect my review score. When it works it prints beautiful, detailed, vibrant pictures, so hopefully a fix for the biggest issue (printer randomly dropping off the network) will be coming.
