Keep Getting Blue Screen of Death
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to get this product because I needed a printer. Initial setup was easy and the online capabilities seemed promising. After a few hours of standby mode, I got the blue screen of death on the touch screen. I thought it was a power outage because a storm just went by, but it happened again while I was just sitting there on the computer. Regretting the decision to buy a high-end printer and just should have bought the standard for what it's good for.

Best printer out there!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best printer I've encountered in all my years. Simple to navigate, intuitive set up and so so so easy to use. And then there is the high quality!

Printer issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.VERY difficult to remove from box. Had to get HP technical assistance to allow for wireless printing. Don't trust the Geek Squad for info. Worst feature is printing envelopes. Must remove all the paper and add ONE envelooe. Then add the paper back in to print the next letter. Then remove all the paper again to print the next envelope. The control panel is tiny and a little difficult to use if you have large fingers.

Fabulous All-In-One
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an absolutely fabulous purchase. I did a lot of research before deciding which printer to purchase for all of my needs, which also needed to include excellent quality photo printing. I am please with not only the function and quality of the printing, but I also appreciate the quiet operation of this printer. I have already used the fax function, and that was smooth and quick. This printer was a perfect buy, and it is an excellent value for the price. Two thumbs up!

Frustration turned good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first installed this printer I had all kinds of trouble and gave it a bad review. After doing a little research I realized that there was a problem with the initial driver install. Deleted all and redownload the drivers and seems to be working just fine, At this writing I realized that I have only used the printer for 4 or 5 days but it has been in almost continual use and I am very pleased. Does a great job on pictures and text.

Disposable printer?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it works, it prints just fine. Good color matching. However, when it locks up, there ain't no fixing. No hard reset capability. This is the second HP printer to do this, May need to switch brands.

Nice Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this printer. Since i had to uodate the app, i haven't been able to print feom my phone. I like the all in one even though i dont use the fax that frequently. I wish the area for inserting the SD card was more open and not as inhibiting.

Best Printer of 2018
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This uses photo-capable pigment black with dye-based colors to produce the best photo quality on the market. With instant ink photos are just 5 cents or less per page -- dirt cheap. Print, scan, copy, fax, wireless, document feeder, two sided printing, SD card slot, USB card slot, dual trays, touchscreen, bluetooth smart, and dual-band wifi.

Happy with printer, but had a glitch with set up.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had great assistance at Best Buy store to select this printer. Downloaded the recommended HP Smart software to set up printer. Was very easy, but discovered that the Scan function on touchscreen did not work. Could scan from computer as a work around. Called HP support and received excellent service. The tech informed me that it is much better to download the complete software for the printer, and that is the only way to enable the scan function on the touchscreen. I gave him access to my computer and he did it all for me. After the download and installation, he made sure everything was working the way it should. I feel that HP did not make it clear in their online instructions as to what software should be downloaded in order to have all of the printer capabilities. Printer is working great now.

The app is useless...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The print quality is stunning! However, the app only allows 5X7 photos and 8.5X11 plain paper to be chosen, so you can't print any other size photo from a phone. To do that requires a laptop or desktop computer to access the print menu. Issue #2... The salesman told us it would print documents directly from a flash drive. No, it won't, only pictures. Again, a computer is required to print documents. That is a deal breaker. The salesman should have known better. He also told us that the printer supplies it's own WiFi so our home system wouldn't be used. WRONG. The phone or computer and the printer have to be connected to the same system. So now I have to box the thing back up and take it back, then try to find another printer.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not buy this at Best But, but I am so upset I am posting this with all major retailers. I usually only post reviews of items I find exceptional, but this has been so bad I am posting a negative review which is rare for me. I just bought this today. Not my first rodeo with HP, and not a fan of their bloat ware, but I have had serviceable HP printers in the past (I still have a 4L laser working - amazing printer). After installation, I started getting error messages when I tried to print saying I was not connected to "Instant Ink" (which I DID sign up for and am connected to). After searching for a support phone number (Which HP makes it a little hard to find) I was on the phone for hours - talking, getting cut off, promised it would get fixed, getting cut off again (and NEVER called back even though they had my phone number). Nothing was fixed. Garbage. I have had it.

Beware - this is the YUGO of printers!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a replacement for an HP Envy 5660, which lasted SIX YEARS before print quality degraded enough that I gave up on it. The 7855 printer seems to be pretty much a newer version of the 5660 printer. Looking back at my records, I was shocked to find that this 7855 model cost more than three times as much as the 5660 model. And now, less than two years after purchase, print quality is already bad enough that I'm planning to buy another printer. And it will not be an HP. I have an HP computer and monitor that I am totally happy with, but I will never again buy an HP printer. About the print quality, often there are streaks or spots. Researching the issue, I see extended instructions on how to clean the print nozzles, etc. NO! NO! NO! I am not HP's unpaid repair technician. I am glad that this product is out of stock, or possibly discontinued. IT IS A LEMON. It is the Yugo of printers.

Recurring Blank Ink Cartridge Issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this printer for almost three years. In the beginning, it printed well (text and photos); however, I've had a recurring issue with the black ink cartridges. The printer is somehow damaging them, and it prevents the printer from printing (produces a "Cartridge Problem" error). I've had to contact support twice about this problem, and the only resolution has been to provide a new cartridge. It will go several months before the cartridge is damaged again. It just happened again, so this is the third time this has occurred. It's a hassle because I have to contact support, go through the troubleshooting steps again, and then wait for the new cartridge to be shipped. I like HP, but this is too inconvenient to continue dealing with over and over. I believe it's time to move to a new printer, and potentially a different brand.
