Great printer for the price. I use it for work. Print quality is sharp. But ink runs out quick. Have to get the XL cartridge so it lasts longer, if you print alot. The regular cartridge lasts about 2 weeks; i printed over 100 pgs. XL lasts about a month; printed over 400 pages.

Great home photo printer. It was easy to set up and connect to networks and individual computers. In fact, I recently bought my first PC in years, and the printer connected with almost no input from me.

Prints great, good quality. Have not used the photo option as yet, but I'm sure that will work great also. I needed a printer because I was printing so much on my other HP computer until it gave out. I have so much to do online.

I bought this printer to print pictures and for my side business. Picture quality is ok, I no longer use it for that because of the quality. But it works great for all my other needs. Has trouble connecting to other devices wirelessly. Overall a decent printer for the price.

Double Sided prints, Scan to the app, Instant Ink

This printer has it all for a home unit! I have gone through quite a few printers in the past as it seems these days that ink is the same price as the printer itself... but HP appears to be trying to change that. Setup: This thing is a slides out of the box all ready to go, after removing tape from a few places, including inside the paper tray, and loading it. Ink goes in easy and is quite self explanatory. Hp's new app based setup worked wonderfully, and I was able to get the printer connected to my wifi with zero issues from the touch screen. I appreciated that the app based setup gave me multiple options from my computer as to installing the full feature driver or the basic feature driver, as well as installing an OCR suite for recognizing text in scans. Gettin the app setup and running was easy once the printer was connected and it found my printer right away. Print Quality: the print quality coming out of this machine rivals what I've got for color laser at work, and the photo quality was spot on. All my test prints blew me away with color. Ink: The idea of HPs Instant Ink is intriguing to me. Consider it something like Subscribe and Save but for printer ink. You get a deal on your ink if you set up an account and let the printer order it for you You choose the duty cycle (how many pages you print a month on average) and when you reach 2x your duty cycle left in the ink cartridge, it will order more. Now for those of use that print one coupon a month and then ALL of your christmas cards in November.. this might not be the best option, but for someone who prints more regularly than this, it's a godsend. Part of this could be stemming from HPs lawsuit attempting to block third parties from filling cartridges, but if the competition results in cheaper ink, I'm all for it. Controls:At the printer itself, there is only one physical power button and the rest is controlled by a small color touch screen. Even though this thing is tiny, it manages to get the job done. It takes a second to get used to it's lag and using the keyboard with the keys that expand, but overall it does a good job of connecting you to the printer/scan/fax controls. App: The app on the iphone blew me away. You can fully control printing and scanning from your phone/tablet and it will interact with your device, like scanning to the app, where you could scribble your signature on a document in and email it, all using your phone. This is revolutionary in getting paper scans or prints to work with your phone, rather than requiring a computer as an intermediary. Features: I'm boggled that these devices still include fax, but it's there. I guess the government does still deal in some fax only situations. The scanner includes an automatic document feeder that holds up to 50 sheets. One thing I lamented was that it doesn't appear to be able to scan double sided even though it can PRINT double sided. Front usb ports and card readers for camera cards as well as the fairly easy to use touch screen give you lots of options. Overall: This printer has a good combination of app control, on board controls and features. It is replacing my main unit at home, and i am going to give the HP Instant Ink a try.

setup was pretty easy, and the printer's been functioning flawlessly. i wish it didn't have the "instant ink ready" (read: subscription) ink plan, though it seems to be avoidable with a little effort.

I can print a custom paper such as slip deposit bank. Just need a little trick. Print as draft is still a good quality. But need to click more to get there. I need more ink, if I compare with Epson XP-410. After all it is a good product and I can deal with it.

I bought this for my mom and it works great. Set up was easy. I was intrigued when I read it worked with Alexa but all it does is print out puzzles and shopping lists. Would be nice to be able to print recipes and things like that as well. Other than that it’s a great printer.

I think one should print at least one page a week to keep things working properly. When working properly, it prints very well. I believe mine first one just dried out leaving gunk in the system so it would no longer print.

Great printer and got it on sale. Best Buy online shipped it a day earlier than expected. Replaced an old printer. Love the photo print option. Fits right inside printer cabinet. Great for my work as a sales rep and for my kids for their e-learning. Love this printer.

Printer was easy to install and love the feature that you can print from anywhere. Only two ink cartridges which is also nice. Only complaint I don’t believe photo printing is as sharp as other models.

I like my new printer. I print at least 50 items a month on a printer, with photos and colored text too. This printer is very easy to install, and has some up to date technical additions I like. The cartridges are easy to install and it has two paper trays.

Once I got my computers setup to use this printer, I have been happy with the print quality. Still getting used to the printer, however, hoping to become more familiar with how to use it, hoping it is "user-friendly"

Works for what I need it for. Not a fan of the whole ink subscription service as it counts per page and sometimes I have to scrap pages that printed incorrectly. Print quality is nice but sometimes it takes forever to finish printing.

This printer is much better than the Envy printer it replaced which was about three years old. Cost was a big factor in the purchase of this printer. The menus are much more user friendly and the quality of the photo prints is much better than older Envy models. I like it so much I brought one for my mother house.

Little bit of a learning curve. I use it mainly for scanning. Had to go out to the internet but once I knew what was going on I liked it. Machine saves what you scan and puts it into a new directory. Sub of the one you choose. Works great once you get the main idea
