Wireless is a nightmare
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The wireless with this laptop is a known issue - it frequently "forgets" that it has wireless capability, and / or drops the signal if you go more than 10 feet from your modem. Have spent hours and hours and hours trying to fix this; at this point, HP is going to send a technician to my house for $49. DO NOT BUY.

The Touchpad is AWFUL
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer has the potential to be halfway decent, however; the trackpad ruins all functionality. The computer is completely unusable without an external mouse. This makes the computer 100% non-mobile without an external mouse. I would NOT buy this laptop again purely based on the trackpad.

Poor WiFi connectivity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love everything about this laptop except one glaring defect: not so good with WiFi. I was looking for a new laptop to replace my old Dell inspiron 14z and I thought this was perfect. Awesome audio, touch screen, free Dragon dictation, cool features but when I went to stream Netflix I kept buffering. I thought it might be the app so I tried streaming time Warner and buffering again. I updated the drivers, disabled the power saver that can effect WiFi, looked for more updates and nothing worked. I had both laptops up next to each other and my Dell streamed without issue while the hp would cut out. I went online to try and find a fix and nothing worked, the default wireless card isn't as strong. If I sit next to my router I'm fine but that's not what I plan on doing. I'll be returning this device tomorrow after only having it two days. I'm so sad because I love everything else about it but I'm not spending over $700 with tax to have to buy a new wireless card that may fix the issue. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a device to be equal to or greater than my 3 year old laptop

Very Slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer might be good for you if you pay for very fast internet, if you have regular internet this is not the computer for you, I needed a good computer for the internet and videos, the person who sold me this computer had no idea what he was doing, however I was able to exchange it for a better hp model for less then I paid for this, besides the beats audio and photoshop this computer isn't so hot good luck with it

Great for light gaming, internet, pictures
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really love this laptop; for $629 you can't beat the value. Also, Radeon R7 graphics a real perk!

horrible purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a junior in high school and i purchased this laptop at the end of my sophomore year, and I regret it. This laptop would be so perfect if it actually worked. I purchased one laptop and the mouse pad was glitching so badly I exchanged it thinking it was just that laptop, that it was just a bad one. So I got another laptop but this same exact one, and it was doing the same thing. The mouse pad is absolutely horrible, it glitches all the time. It starts lagging, when you try to move it, it clicks on pages you never wanted it to click on. The right clicking doesn't work half the time, and to me it basically has a mind of its own and does whatever it wants. And its not the sensitivity either, I took my first one into the geek squad before I exchanged it for a new one and it still did all the same thing, its just horrible. The touch screen is starting to not work either. I would have rather saved up another $600 and got myself a macbook if i knew how bad this laptop was. It would be so perfect if the mouse pad and the touch screen worked. Too me a laptop this expensive should be working perfectly from the day its made to 2 years after purchase.

DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop on Thursday and right out of the box it froze. I figured it had to be something to do with internet explorer, so I downloaded Firefox and had the same problem. Every page you open freezes and says not responding. The cursor darts all over the page and things don't load when you click on them. When the cursor starts darting it takes you off of whatever page you're on and opens random windows. Awful, awful, awful. I can't believe a product like this ever hit the market and I can say this will be the LAST HP I ever buy. It makes me IRATE to think something like this could be passed so quickly for consumers and not work DIRECTLY OUT OF THE BOX. I'll be taking it back to Best Buy tomorrow and expect a full refund.

Junk!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer because of some misguided sales clerk at my local Best Buy store. This is truly the worst computer I've ever owned. Right out of the box it froze, the cursor goes where it pleases and I have actually had to restore it to earlier settings (I've had it for 2 weeks) because installing a program seems to make another stop working!!
