Purchased on 3/8/21 as a certified like new unit with zero cycles on the battery. I had to ask myself why someone would return something without ever charging it. It took me about 30 seconds to answer my own question, the left hinge is horribly misaligned. BestBuy, do you even look at these returned items, this one was certified none the less. I am beyond disappointed and will be returning this (a 45min drive to my local store). From now on all my purchases will be through Amazon.

Purchased this laptop a month ago and already seeing a decline. One key is already falling off, and I have experienced significant struggle with the built-in microphone (the system has just determined it "isn't there" anymore). Googling has shown that it is probably a physical issue rather than just a driver update needed. This was purchased for personal use, not work or gaming. It isn't used often enough to warrant either issue so far. Likely returning for a completely different computer. Perhaps this specific laptop was a lemon, but I'd rather not risk it.

I really liked all the special keys and features, but it kept freezing. I tried all the fixes that were suggested, but the freezing continued. I returned it.

The keyboard doesn’t illuminate very difficult to see the keyboard. I had difficulty setting up some devices with it. Not very user-friendly.

Must disassemble computer to get to battery

I like the computer but like many laptop users this stays at home most of the time. On most laptops one can EASILYremove the battery to extend its life - not so on this one. To get to the battery one must remove glued-on rubber strip (which stretches out of shape on removal, have a T5 Torx bit to remove 2 Torx screws, a small Phillips to remove 3 others screws which have glue in the slots making them near impossible to remove, pry off the cover using plastic tools to minimize damage to the case, then pull internal connectors to finally liberate the battery. Oh yeah, and do it all in reverse to put the battery back in if you want to travel. Utter nonsense and unacceptable - AND EASILY AVOIDED WITH BETTER DESIGN. Buy this computer and prepare to pay a tech to replace the battery in a year or so when the battery starts expanding and hopefully doesn't destroy the rest if the computer. Horrible horrible design. I stopped buying HP because of crap like this but thought I'd give it a try. NEVER AGAIN. HP is dead to me.

It's absolutely great, EXCEPT the monitor chosen for this Best Buy SKU. The Privacy View option is terrible, just terrible. It is hard to imagine that anyone really like this display. If you want a nice bright display that you can work with this is not an option. If you don't mind always being in privacy mode, and then sometimes when you select "privacy mode" then being in extremely dull no-one can read the display including me without getting a headache mode, then and only then this is OK. Really it's great, when Best Buy has another SKU go for it.

I really wanted to love this laptop. I was so excited to use it! The first day was great, I loved how small and portable and lightweight it was, I also loved all the awesome features like the tablet mode and the fingerprint reader. I've only had it for 3 days, and then disaster struck. The backlit keyboard button just COMPLETELY stopped working. I mean I tried everything to fix it (restart, shut down, fn+f4, f4, etc.) and nothing worked. I went online to see if anyone else had this problem and 22,000 others have had this problem. Here's the link to the HP website if you don't believe me. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Backlight-Keyboard-Not-working-anymore/td-p/6943283 Not to mention the fan is absolutely terrible. It is SO loud and the laptop gets so hot! This is a brand new laptop. 3 days old, and it's not even an open-box one either. Beware. DONT BUY.

This is a fantastic lightweight, super fast computer! It looks stunning with it's light gold finish. The screen is beautiful, keyboard feels great. It switches from traditional computer to tablet mode with ease and no glitches. I love the feature of tablet mode, being able to draw and edit photos is fantastic! I quite like the fact that this thin computer has two full sized usb ports as well as a usbc port, something you don't see in thinner laptops. The speakers found great, usually I listen in headphones so I don't disturb others around me, but had fun watching a movie with my family. I think this is a well built beautiful laptop! The only thing I don't care for is with windows and how non-user friendly it has become. I don't care for passwords on my computers, and windows forces you to have either a password, pin, or fingerprint to get into the computer. That is my only con I personally have found in this computer. Overall I really like this computer and would recommend this to anyone.

Screen brightness is the biggest issue. Not good for eyes. At full brightness, it is a problem. At low brightness can't see properly The small size makes it super easy for kids to handle the laptop. But brightness is the issue

We returned this item after one of the weird expanding USB ports destroyed one of my wife's USB receiver fobs for her wireless mouse and keyboard. Going forward I will avoid this style of USB port. I would rather have a slim laptop with no standard USB ports than these.
