Really happy with this computer. I use it for work presentations so I didn’t need a ton of power. Purchased it for the price. Really surprised by the performance and durability.

The HP Envy is a solid laptop that is fast to use. I’m pleased with the touch capability and the ease of everything. Just wish the keyboard was more centered.

I'm not a super-fan of laptops in general - I like PCs with ergonomic keyboards better - but I finally updated my 9 year old laptop after doing tons of research and asking my IT guy a bunch of questions. I checked out several laptops at Best Buy and this one just felt right. Once I tried it, I bought it! It was so easy to set up and start using right away. The only thing I had trouble with was the fingerprint pad. It's the only key on the keyboard that doesn't light up (love the backlit keyboard too). Note to self; don't try to set it up in the dark. I'm very happy with this purchase.

We purchased this laptop for school and gaming and so far it was been great at doing both! The only complaint is it did overheat once while running a lot and being charged.

I purchased the HP ENVY x360 a month ago to replace an aging and slow HP laptop. After looking at a number of laptops I came upon the ENVY and found that it had all of the features and specifications I was looking for in a new computer and the price was right. I had Geek Squad transfer all of my photos, files, music, audio files, and apps from my old laptop to the ENVY. Geek Squad is the way to go for doing that process. The entire process took less than four hours. The new laptop is very fast, has a nice screen resolution, and I like the quality of the device. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Bought this for my daughter for graduation. No complaints so far. She says it's fast, love the touch screen but wish the battery life was better compared to her chromebook.

    Good, Just Not For Me

I needed a Windows laptop in fall 2020 as my office transitioned (rather late) to work from home. Our remote data access service only works with Windows and MacOS, and I only had Linux computers. I bought this thinking it was perfect. The build quality is excellent. HP had a lot of bloatware installed on this, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed. The first two glaring things I noticed were a) I needed a backlit keyboard and b) HP has no option for limiting charge level to 60 or 80% for users who keep their laptop plugged in. I knew the keyboard wasn’t backlit going in and thought I could deal with it, so that’s on me. This is the first laptop I’ve had where one could not control the max charge of the battery, though. HP confirmed for me they used to have that feature on their laptops, but it is not available in this model. Since this was going to be used for at least 6 months as a desktop replacement plugged in 24/7, that was a no-go. Li-ion batteries kept at 100% for extended periods do suffer a bit from that treatment (though not nearly as bad as old Ni-Cad laptop batteries). Finally the laptop struggled with complex pivot tables and other semi-demanding tasks. I knew going in this was a compromise and that a 2-in-1 would not be an ideal desktop replacement, but it was 2020 and if you wanted a computer you were likely going to have to compromise to get what was in stock (due to the pandemic, chip shortages, and various other reasons). I still think a 2-in-1 marketed as a “premium laptop” (HP’s classification) and in this price point should be able to handle pivot tables. I ended up returning the x360 and going with a gaming laptop that had backlit keyboard, provisions for 2x external displays, and firmware allowing full control over the battery charging. If I prioritized a lighter, sturdy travel laptop (as I greatly preferred pre-pandemic when I traveled much more) I would have kept this for the long haul. Pros: good build quality and materials, sturdy construction, decent laptop keyboard, 2-in-1, very slim and light, aluminum Cons: a little slow, limited upgradability, non-backlit keyboard, limited to one external display.

I had it for 2 weeks then returned it. Ran great for the 2 weeks I had it. The design was nice, I liked the 9 key. But after 2 weeks when the screen went idle it went black and the computer shut off and I had to wait about 5ish minutes to turn back on. In that time frame it would also start getting hot. Once it came back on it seemed to be ok. I returned it as I know thats not right. I gave 3 stars because Im not so sure it wasnt just a flaw with this individual computer.

Recently purchased this laptop after debating whether to get a Mac or Windows computer. Safe to say I made the right choice, I feel like I can do so much more. The fact that it's touchscreen and I can manually scroll on the screen or turn it into a tablet like device, it's perfect. The speakers are also really loud. They have Bang & Olufsen audio which was a nice bonus. The laptop price dropped after I purchased it so I'll see if they can match the price, other than that I'm very pleased with my purchase :)
