Great laptop for college, scrolling, and shopping!

Best laptop ever. Screen is great. Battery life is excellent

I'll start this review with one thing that bugged me the most about the purchase. I had to exchange the first model of this laptop I got because there was a green vertical line on the screen right out of the box on my first one. It was still there on BIOS so it was definitely an issue with the screen. Wasn't a deal-breaker for me to exchange instead of getting a different laptop, but still feel like it's worth mentioning. Exchanged unit doesn't have this issue. So, the good: I haven't had AMD processor PCs since the early 2000's, and have used Intel's since. I read the reviews on the AMD Ryzen processor and it sounded really good, and I am not disappointed. This feels very fast, even compared to the i5's I've used. The whole look and feel of the body of this laptop is amazing. Lighter than I'm used to for a laptop for this size, especially because of the aluminum body on it. Very aesthetically pleasing. The two-in-one capability works as expected and is a nice feature. Kind of cumbersome for the size of this screen, but honestly I'm using it more for productivity anyways. I can see people who draw and using art software to have a nice big canvas to use when drawing in tablet mode (pen is not included, though). As far as gaming goes, I have consoles so I tend to stick to those for most of my gaming needs. However, I have tried to run some higher end emulators on it (love my "retro-not-so-retro" games so I had to give it a whirl). Runs them very well, I was actually impressed. Games made for PC play extremely well at lower settings, with more lag putting the settings up, but I know this isn't a gaming laptop so I'm not holding this against it. Sound/display: While the display is good, man the speakers are the winners between the two. Good volume and front/back speakers make this laptop sound very good, especially in tent mode. The Bad: The trackpad, while smooth and useable, is one solid unit with the left and right mouse buttons build into it, which will make the cursor jump if you're trying to quickly navigate through windows or text boxes, ect. Ports: Not surprising these days, but no CD ROM drive, which I didn't notice on the description but really doesn't bother me, HOWEVER, noticeably there is also no ethernet port on this, which may be very important if you're going to try to do networking work with this PC. Camera: I think my laptop from 10 years ago has the same camera in it. Quality is honestly bad. It does have an on-board stereo microphone, though, so... there's that? I guess? Overall I really like this PC. It has great quality RAM in it as well so the 8GB really is enough to satisfy all of your productivity needs, including photo and video editing which is what I primarily use laptops for. Very good bang for your buck.

This laptop will run rainbow six siege at 60 FPS which isn’t super amazing but it’s definitely good u can sit down and play without having the laptop crash on u!!

I had this computer for under 3 years when the hinge popped which in turn made the screen stop working. the quote for repairs to have it fixed was the same price I paid for the laptop. This is a common issue with HP Envy devices I have learned after the fact. DO NOT BUY invest your money in a laptop that will last. I used this for my small business and have now lost access to important documents.

I've bought this laptop yesterday at best buy and I can say this is the most versatile laptop I've ever seen. also, the 4 modes that it has (tablet mode is my favorite) makes it a must for playing my favorite games. I would highly recommend this hybrid laptop and don't get too afraid about the price or it'll throw you off your curve. I'll be using this for my school work and I recommend you get MS office. 8 GB of RAM and a 256 SSD is more than enough for me, so I'm extremely happy and I'll be definitely keeping a distance from apple and I'm not getting another laptop.

One thing to bear in mind, of the 8GB Memory, 2GB is dedicated to the AMD integrated graphics and 3.5-3.8 of the remainder is used up by WIndow, HP, and McAffee processes. This obviously only leaves 2.2-2.5 free for your apps and programs and can't be changed by the user. Consider this 8GB a 6+2GB in reality and be prepared to properly manage or remove the bloatware to free up a good chunk of it if you want closer to that 6GB. I didn't need the extra graphical capabilities of the AMD chip (I game on a console and don't edit video or render 3D models and the like) and so went with the Intel Core i5 version. For 99% of uses its just as fast and doesn't dedicate a quarter of the installed RAM to graphics. Photoshop has no trouble with either chip these days. The Envy x360 package itself is really premium for the price and I highly recommend it, just keep the above in mind when looking at specs only.

Light weight for its size, great screen, blazing fast processor, long battery life, extremely quick wake from sleep. I run multiple windows with videos, edit documents, email etc. concurrently and this laptop does all of it without skipping a beat. Highly recommend. AMD and HP have a clear winner here and the price cannot be beat!
