I bought my new laptop about 2 months ago. It was great until about 4 days ago when it started overheating and shutting for no reason. I go a new laptop because my previous one was old and slow. Now I have to deal with this. I am going to have to deal with HP to try and figure out what the problem is. Wasn't planning to have to do this with a new PC.

My household is just my fiancé and I and this laptop has been perfect for our needs. He uses it for online schooling and some light gaming on Steam. I use it for drawing. It has enough memory for me to comfortably run Adobe Illustrator on it. The Ryzen 5 provides a great speed and we haven't experienced any latency with any of the programs we run or when booting it up. We are very happy with our purchase especially at such an affordable price.

Bought the computer to use for college. Set up was extremely easy, the computer almost does it for you, and the 2-in-1 is a great thing for taking notes and can be very easy to use the touch screen. From everything that I see so far this is a great purchase for school work. I would not try and use this for anything too heavy (graphic design or high end modeling) due to low amount of RAM, but for basic work and web surfing it should be good.

I purchased this after having two non Envy HP laptops that had an Intel processor which were much faster, but the fan noise was unacceptable and system programs kept locking up. Geek Squad said they could not fix after having each of them for only 3 days. The Envy display goes black once in a while, specifically when getting out of an email. Not sure why...
