So far I have had it replaced once. The hinge broke when I opened it after owning it for 3 days. I have had the new unit for about a month and the fingerprint reader no longer works. I just use the PIN instead. If I had a choice I probably wouldn't buy it again. I purchased it Black Friday so I got a very good price.

I really like this laptop. Works fast, does what it needs to. I have no complaints.

Purchased this computer 1 month and 2 weeks ago brand new from Best Buy. Since they didn't have one instore, they shipped it to my house. Received it, and charged it overnight before messing with it. Picked it up the following morning and it was hot to the touch. Tried to turn it on, it did but was super slow. Ever since then this thing will overheat either plugged in or running on battery, turned on or off or even using it! I have to sit it in front of an open window to cool it down enough for it to turn on.I've also noticed that the battery life is poorly as well on this computer. I can run it fully charged for an hour, and it would be down below 50%. There's also a screw up with the audio jack on the side as well. I plugged several pairs of headphones into this thing thinking that there was something wrong with my actual first pair, but in all reality was that it's the actual audio jack. I plugged them in, and the music would still play through the speakers on the computer. I contacted the store I bought this from, and they put me through to Geek Squad. The wait hold on the phone with them was well over an hour since I can't take it back to the store due to the COVID-19. I then reached out to HP, tried to do the online chat and was disconnected several times. I'm afraid that I'm stuck with this piece of junk and still making payments on my credit card :(

The laptop is a gift to my husband. Has enjoyed the laptop especially because it touchstone.

The soft ware is different then what I have been used to and have a received popups, warnings, reminders for updates that I must research for legitimacy before acting upon. Have had difficulty maneuvering sites and settings. Manual is hard to find on line and technical in nature. Computer speed and agility is good but software hard to manage for an average Joe without some guidance besides a startup manual.

I purchased this laptop for school and I also use it with my Cricut for crafts. The laptop is very sleek and clean looking. I've never used a laptop that has a Ryzen processor but so far everything works really well and I have no complaints. The 360 touch screen is perfect for my crafts and the sound and camera are great for virtual school and for any college student in general. Definitely a great laptop for a low price.

The HP Envy is an excellent computer for individuals of all ages. The price is very reasonable!!
