camera doesn't work- but great otherwise
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it is a good computer. The touch functionality is great. The touchscreen-lablet is wonderful. I have everything on the cloud so minimal storage was a perfect fit for me. The computer processing power is fast. I only use this for work and internet browsing so I can't speak to gaming. The battery life is impressive. The only frustration I have is that my front facing camera quite working. I tried troubleshooting with the pre-prompted built in troubleshooter and nothing worked. I googled the answer and every post said to reset the computer- which I did. Still doesn't work. I plan to take it into Best Buy, but it might be worth a quick google search to find out how rare or frequent this problem is before you buy it. Zoom kept crashing which never happened on my other device. (I bought this four months ago)

Overall great for multitasking
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've have this laptop for a little over two years now and it's still holding up great. I'm able to play first person shooter games, do homework while having multiple tabs open and have no issues. The storage isn't enough for me, but that's nothing an external hard drive couldn't fix.

Excellent, fast and easy to use
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first personal PC laptop after being a die-hard Mac user since 2009, and I honestly love the Envy! It’s lightning fast thanks to the Ryzen AMD processor, which I feel is much faster than my HP laptop for work that might have an i3 or an i5 processor. Excellent, crisp and bright graphics and sleek, black aluminum body and solid construction plus the ability to fold the screen back into tablet mode makes me never want to pay for an overpriced MacBook or Apple product again. So far I have had zero issues converting to windows 10 full time from my old iMac. The video camera is good and clear for regular video calls, the keys are a perfect size for my hands (my hands are on the small side, size 6 ring), just the right level of responsiveness to the keys and the lighted keyboard is a plus that’s visually appealing and functional. I like how efficient Windows 10 is, and one drive allows me to access documents on multiple devices and multiple accounts, one for work and one for personal so it’s been an easy transition. I’m really happy with this laptop for the price, it was well worth it and I may never go back to Macs again!

Holy Smokes This Laptop Is Quick
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So. Just got this thing today. And wow it's quick and very snappy. The 4500u coupled with a SSD is ludicrous speed. I did this get this on sale luckily for $630 and I was looking at another laptop a Lenovo and was about to cancel this order. I'm glad I didn't! So there's a few things with this laptop, under heavy load the fan is pretty loud. But it does move a lot of air and it doesn't seem like the laptop heats up as bad. Also, when you first start this up you may hear crackling coming from the speakers. It's because Windows needs to install the Bang and Olufsen drivers. So don't be alarmed and think it's broken. So. It's fast. The screen is bright. Keyboard being lit up is nice. I wish it had a bigger SSD (I can always replace later on) or more memory like 16GB. Unfortunately you can't upgrade the memory as its soldered BUT it is dual channel configured. I don't think anyone would go wrong with this laptop or any laptop with a 4500u in it coupled with an SSD. AMD's new chips are nuts. My old laptop ran World of Warcraft on Quality 4 and that was a FX-9800P, mechanical HDD and 8GB of memory. I'm looking forward to seeing what this can do. I don't regret my purchase.

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had driver issues when I first got it, but its nothing you can't figure out. It works fine now and its really fast. A must buy for the average consumer or a college person like myself. Only downside is that the laptop gets a little too hot for my liking. Now that we've hit summer its more noticeable of course. What can you expect from such a thin piece of technology though? It still gets the job done. Later down the road when I get the time I'm going to replace the thermal compound in hopes that it makes a slight difference. Fans are also a bit loud when they're under load, but if you got Spotify (or any kind of sound for that matter) running in the background you'll barley notice it (Unless you're at the library!). Speaking of that the speakers are great! like I said a must buy especially if you catch this on sale.

Attractive, Fast, Light and Affordable!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure what more you could want. Zippy performance, beautiful screen, relatively light and a absolutely tiny bezel. This thing takes very little room in a bag. I had to double check to make sure I ordered the correct model...but it's because the bezel is so small, they have reduced unnecessary mass. My only question is durability...and time will tell. Possibly not the best laptop for small children with the bezel construction. For an adult, super happy so far!

Excellent specs for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AMD has come a long way in a short time. Performance on this is great. My kid uses it for some artwork and light gaming. Runs both with no issues. The touch screen, processor, GPU, etc...are nice components at this price point. Got it on sale for $599 so it was a no brainier. No issues so far. BB sales guy was helpful, too.

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new laptop after I enrolled in school, so I chose this one as it was on sale. It’s been great so far, super fast and very stable. Touch screen works as advertised and the fingerprint scanner is swift & responsive. Only negative was that the price I paid was the same as Costco, but they offered a stylus with it.

Great choice for a computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm extremely happy with my new computer. It was easy to set up. It talked you through the set up process. It is so much faster than my old computer and it had the capability of playing games on it. That is a big plus because my kids wanted a gaming computer, now I don't have to get one.

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I completely love this laptop, but due to some differences in how the keyboard is set the functionality aspect needs some getting use to. I’m still adjusting to that. Other than that, it’s speed, graphics, portability and battery life are optimal.

It's Beautiful!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My current laptop is 14 years old...I know, but it got the job done. Then came Covid, and I realized there would be no using the old laptop for any kind of remote work if ever needed. So, I looked at a whole bunch of laptops, then asked my techie friend what he thought. He directed me to this one. Amazing...who knew that a new laptop could be so much faster than a 14 year old one LOL. Anyway, the keyboard is so smooth, and it's not so small that my fingers get twisted together. I hooked up my remote mouse, and things got even better. I had some issues with getting the bluetooth connect with my printer, but finally got them to talk to one another. Fast, does what I need it to do, and with a weight and size that is perfect for using and then putting into my computer backpack.

Good laptop for the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like how this laptop looks and functions. The touch screen is nice and works well. My microphone went out in the first month I got it but I sent it in as it was covered by the factory warranty.

Solid PC for a good price
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great PC. The screen is good and it's nice and fast. Not too heavy. I wish that the hard drive was larger. ( I knew the size when I purchased it.) I just purchased an external hard drive so not a big deal. It also gets rather warm. I thought I would miss the disc drive but I haven't really needed it. All in all it was a good value and I'm very happy with it. Would definitely get another HP in the future. I had purchased another PC a year before and it was just too slow. Don't be cheap when purchasing a PC. Figure out what you'll be doing with it and get one with a spec to match. Faster is better! Better to get a good quality PC because the cheap comes out expensive.

Great with One Problem
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop. It's a great machine: sleek, fast, and powerful. My ONE problem is the wi-fi issue. My internet crashes quite frequently for this to be a new machine. It's not my actual connection but rather the wi-fi on the computer itself. I don't know if it's the driver or what, but I had to call HP because I got disconnected during a work Zoom call and I was finally like, no more. HP basically tried to help me reinstall the drivers but the issue still happened and they said I'd have to pay for additional servicing of the laptop and send it to them. This is brand new and at the time when I called, I'd only had the laptop for two weeks. Now it's been three months and I regret not returning it. Stable wi-fi is key and since I know it's not my connection, it frustrates me that the computer's internet just conks out. I do recommend but also find it incredibly frustrating.

Versatile
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the ability to use touch screen if I want. Like the ease to light the keys, and to turn sound on and off. Having issues with microphone compatibility with Zoom, and solving the issue through help has not worked. Otherwise, really like this laptop.

Very Good for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Dell desktop that after less than a year started acting up so I went back to HP and picked up this laptop until I can purchase a customized HP desktop. It works great right out of the box and has the added bonus of a touchscreen and folds over to convert into a tablet. Only minor negative is during the day I'm in a large building and with other computers/laptops I have had no problem with using wifi but this laptop seems to lose connection more than the others I have had. This is a very minor complaint. Overall I really like it. If it had better wifi and a larger hard drive I would have probably given it 5 stars.

Easy to use:
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is easy to use no matter how you use it. I'm familiar with laptops over the years, so that's how I use it. Even when using like a tablet, you can bring up an on screen keyboard when needed. This, as well as the light weight, make it very easy to carry when on the go.
