This laptop was purchased so my husband could work from home during the pandemic. We usually do not buy ones this expensive but it was literally the only one in stock. It is a great laptop and has held up well. Now that my husband has his official computers at home we have this to our son so he would have a new laptop while pursuing his masters degree.

This laptop is more then I need but offers many things that will help me learn more about a laptop’s capabilities. I do like the simple things like ease of typing, faster response, browse more sites with no lag, etc. only owned it for a couple of weeks so much more for me to learn.

I brought this laptop as a gift for my daughter who is in nursing school. she seems to like it very much. i just previously purchased an HP laptop for myself and she liked it, and I knew this would be a great help to her in her schoolwork. when balancing family, work and school, it is a great feat, and the laptop will be an asset and will certainly help make things easier.

This ENVY is an excellent laptop to use for multi-tasking, editing, or general web browsing. Used it for about 3 months and there were no bugs or hiccups...EXCEPT when I try to video chat with it. Skype, Zoom, Messenger, they all experience problems. The first month everything was fine but later on, in the middle of calls, the built-in mic or speakers would disconnect and I'd have to reinstall the sound drivers and restart the computer. This would fix it for the rest of the session but it continues to occur frequently almost any time i have a video session. This issue started to occur after the returnable date so be careful and return at the first sign of any glitches like that. Bottom Line, HP needs to get their software together but i'd recommend this to anyone just looking for a laptop to watch videos on as the display is great and the tablet mode is versatile. If you're looking for a laptop to do any type of video conference, I'd suggest something else.

I was really excited for my purchase. I realized after using it for distance learning that my mic was not working properly. (Wished I could return it but it was past my 14 days). The Geek Squad tried to help out remotely and was not able to figure out why my mic was not working. I went in the store and they could not figure it out either. They recommended I call HP from here. They also mentioned that they noticed many people coming in to the store for help with the same issue. Anyways, I was on the phone with HP for 1 hour and we did some kind of update on my laptop and now my mic is working. What an inconvenience!!!

This is a good little laptop, although I've discovered its battery life is faaaar less than what I'd hoped. I guess I should've spent the big bucks to avoid that li'l surprise. We picked it up right before Christmas to replace a clunker. That said, I'm still looking forward to learning all it can do! THIS IS OVER 50 CHARACTERS! Use it or dump it. I don't really care!

Great laptop. A bit pricey, but worth it. Backlit keyboard is a bonus.
