I bought this laptop because I haven’t had one in years. It runs very fast, but it heats up really easily, though not a problem for me. Very responsive and would recommend to anyone in need of a new laptop. Battery life is also decent as well and the privacy switch is very useful. Touch ID is very responsive and quick!

Excellent! But with a minor glitch...

This Notebook is ideal for complex software like Graphisoft ArchiCAD & Autodesk Revit etc. The multiple thread core slashes rendering times! A note of caution to the wise: make sure that you create a restore point BEFORE you attempt to load ANYTHING! I had an issue with the driver of a wireless mouse, I added. This caused a conflict with the existing drivers for the touchpad & touchscreen etc. This glitch causes the mouse cursor to skip about the screen and not settle on files/documents you want to select, and it manifests predominantly in any open windows you are using (like Widows Explorer or Word etc) - although it does not manifest in any of the apps which come with the Notebook (like Netflix). With a restore point in place, you can back-track if you experience these issues.

I did only 4 stars because the CAPS LOCK button keeps wigging out doing the opposite making it hard while working from home when I have to sign in and out of programs to do my job. Also have had some issues with the sound not working off and on. Other than that nice picture, easy to use.

This computer was too big for me. Although I did like the price, this laptop was not what I actually wanted. Before buying this computer I had a MacBook Air, I decided to return it because it was too much for me.

I love the fact that it can be a tablet as well at a laptop! Also love that it includes a number pad so I didn’t need to mess with an addition piece to carry around!! It’s nice and thin and I like the fingerprint recognition for a password

By far WORST laptop ever... twice!

This is BY FAR the WORST laptop I have ever owned. I purchased it and used it for less than a week before it started failing on me. It was making horrific noises (SUPER loud continuous beeping noises), it kept telling me my audio was failing, everything was freezing and crashing. No matter what I did, how many times I restarted my computer, it wasn’t usable. I thought maybe it was a faulty laptop and exchanged it for a brand new one. Well within an HOUR of using my new one, same thing. Audio failing, programs crashing, computer totally freezing, NOTHING working. The only thing I had installed was Google Drive, so it was clearly the computer. Since I tried this laptop not once, but TWICE, and both times it ended horribly, I can without a doubt say this is a TERRIBLE LAPTOP. DO. NOT. BUY.

I bought this laptop to replace my old HP laptop & I absolutely love it! It’s sleek, great on battery & easy to use. Using it solely for school and taking notes on it has been a breeze. Had to purchase the pen separately, but it’s worth it!

Since this is my first HP laptop, I am still discovering what I can do, and how to accomplish all of the tasks. This purchase was timely, as my other one had just died, and this one was on sale for the holidays. That played a big part in my selection; however I love your Geek Squad service, too! Have a good day! Marlys

As a beginner, I thought I would just stick with the big computer with the tower. I thought I would learn this 1st then get a laptop. It was very nice for the 2 days I had it. Even thought I purchased it on 9/15, it was on back order. It took a minute to get it and I kind of got out of wanting it.

Good laptop for a grad student, screen sufficiently big enough & comparably less bulky & sleep. I used to AMD processors for many years and happy with the speed & response. 2 in 1 laptop/tabloid is a bonus. You easily buy a Bluetooth ink pen from e-commerce sites & it’s compatible with Win-10.

Overall this is a great computer. I like the computer login with your print ID. The only thing that i find challenging is the fact that there is a numeric keypad on the keyboard. It took awhile to get used to typing.

Bought it for my son, so far works excellent. He really enjoys and is pretty easy to use Maybe the only 2 things is the screen is great but quite a bit of glare if light is behind you and the outside body is very nice but needs to be cleaned of prints often. So will buy an additional screen cover and an outside cover as well.

I did not like OneDrive being the default drive.

When I fired up the computer, I copied all of the files from my old computer to the new one. Then, the computer immediately began uploading the files to OneDrive. Since I had more than 5GB of data, I kept getting prompted that the drive was full and to pay for more storage. I did not want my files on OneDrive and I did not like it that I didn't have the option not to use it. I did end up deleting a bunch of files so that I would be under the 5GB cap. Why have a 256GB hard drive when you have to pay to use it?? My nephew figured out how to make the computer's hard drive the default drive and I disconnected the computer from OneDrive. Then everything worked fairly well. And, I would have been satisfied with the computer, except for the internet connection. I would have to re-establish my internet connection once or twice a day. I make several calls a week on Zoom and the internet connection was unstable for those calls. When I switched back to my old computer, everything worked fine. Because of those issues, I decided to return the computer. I liked the way the computer looked and the feel of the keyboard. I loved the fingerprint sign-in. I detested the way I was forced to use OneDrive as the default. I have had about 4 HP computers over the years, but now I'm switching brands. I do not like the manufacturer dictating where to store your files. I also had an unpleasant experience when I returned the computer to Best Buy. The guy in customer service didn't have any interest in hearing what I didn't like about the computer. Companies need to know that it's not OK to force those kinds of things on consumers. All-in-all, a bad experience for me.

Awesome buy, the HO rep did a fantastic job in convincing my wife and I that this was a great buy. Once we left and thought about all of the features and what we were getting for the money it was extra hard to say no. So we walking immediately back to the salesperson and purchased the computer.

Opened it up, turned it on, and it was ready to go. Beautiful, sleek, light. We bought this for a friend, and he's enjoying it a lot. It goes from tablet to laptop like a pro. No issues at all. HP wins out in this category compared to Lenovo Yoga.
