Microphone failures

I was wary of HP and apparently should have been. The features of laptop and tablet combination were intriguing. The price was good as a special for back to school students. Compared to my 12 year old laptop it was fast and sleek. It functions fine except sometimes it is slow to wake up after being idle, or doesn't respond to a wake command. The biggest problem is the microphone randomly crashes during Zoom calls. It won't resolve without restarting the computer. I'm a career coach so this is vitally important. I've reinstalled the audio drivers and updated the OS. Geeksquad worked on it remotely too, but it still malfunctions. Unclear if it is a hardware issue perhaps. I'll keep searching for answers but very disappointing in a new purchase.

Issues with mic setup and driver

Windows 10 and HP drivers would not work together. Took back to geek squad and they said buy a headset or we need to send it off for 3-4 weeks. Completely unacceptable and very disappointed. Geek squad said they have issues with this specific model all the time. Would have been nice to know this before I bought 3 of them. If I didn’t have to have them for my kid’s school this week I would have returned them all and got my money back.
