Love the X360 series for the $. Tons of cool features in a nice sleek finish. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE 8TH GEN PROCESSOR. ONLY 1.6 GHZ... SLOWER THAN 7TH GEN! ALL OTHER SPECS ARE IDENTICAL. SOLD WITH 45W ADAPTER WHEN IT REQUIRES 90W TO PERFORM PROPERLY AS RATED. I EXCHANGED IT FOR THE STRANGELY FASTER 7TH GEN 2.5 GHZ PROCESSOR WITH IDENTICAL SCREEN, CASE DESIGN, RAM ETC.

pretty fast. Mac is still faster. Keys are kind of small and thick which make them harder to type on

We were sold Kaparsky virus protection- want our money back- NY Times connected it to Russaian hacking, thought we had purchased a DVD player in computer, went away for summer so could not return- we had no DVD player. Setting up took hours and we had horrible service- so dissatisfied.

This was a graduation gift and was a nice computer right up until the power button stopped working. My son only had it 18 months. The power button is fused to the mother board, so the only way to fix it is to replace the mother board. That is several hundred dollars and not worth the expense. Very disappointed.

Microsoft 10 is difficult to use. there are many changes from Microsoft I had before

The laptop is great but the keyboard is very difficult to see in brightly lit areas

So I had bought this 2 weeks ago and it worked beautifully. It was fast and functional. I only use this for school - note taking and browsing Facebook etc. Then after I updated bc it was so persistent about it, I was left with a black screen after the login screen. I had to wait like 10 minutes before my home screen finally popped up. THEN it got worse to the point where the home screen didn't pop up anymore so I was left looking at a black screen and I couldn't even use it. I thought maybe I just got a defective one so I went back to best buy and exchanged for a new one that's the same model. Hahahaha silly me, that was 2 days ago and already it's doing the same thing. It's only after the update that the laptop starts acting up. I hate it and it's a pain since I have to go back to best buy again to return it. Don't waste your time like I did. I'm going to try the yoga instead.

Compared to a Mac book, the speed is very noticeable. So I returned it.

I purchased this laptop and only had it approximately for one month before l encountered multiple problems. The screen went black and I was unable to use the laptop anymore. I had a bring the laptop in to the geek squad and it seemed to be a software problem which was not covered under warranty

Features are great, but the computer moves a bit slow

Although the system ran fine, I find that the metal body and lid are very weak. After having my laptop 2 weeks, it fell from less than 2 feet on a carpeted floor and dented the corner and cracked the screen. HP stated that their warranty did not cover the repair.

From the beginning the lap top was kind of slow but I thought it's because it's downloading & updating all the software & apps that I have installed. Now it takes 6.5 minutes to show the desktop from the moment I log in. Crazy. In addition, the screen started to turn yellow just below the camera. And this is when I don't even use the touch-screen option. Went to Best Buy to return/replace, but I missed my 15-day window. Now they suggest contacting HP directly. Very disappointed... Now I'm stuck with an expensive lap top that does not work properly.

I'm bummed After a year of purchasing the touch screen stopped working. Sent in for RMA .. I5 is fast and I would buy again.

I am very disappointed with this laptop. It is very slow. It was slow out of the box, and it continues to be slow. I even talked to one of the Best Buy employees that convinced me to get the I5 processor instead of the AMD processor, but I'm not happy at all with this laptop. If you're looking for a laptop that is very responsive, and quickly pulls up your applications, and quickly accesses the internet, then this is not the computer for you.

After 14 months the motherboard failed. Screen went blank, no power, no nothing. I probably made the wrong choice in getting it repaired because it was very, very expensive to do so. I bought a Dell desktop that was going to be a backup PC, but it outperforms this laptop in every way, and it runs much cooler. I'll probably start switching over to a Chromebook in the future.

Overall a sweet laptop. I've had it for over 6 months and haven't had a single problem with it. I've put on a couple of decently taxing games (Gears of War, Asphalt 8) and they run for hours with no problems or lag. I keep an external cooling fan running underneath it and when that's going I don't think the internal fan has ever had to kick in to assist. The speakers are decent as well with sound quality holding strong even at higher volumes. The battery lasts me easily the whole day, sometimes even up to two. I will say that standby time is very bad though. Somehow the battery drains faster when its closed and not being used than when I'm using it? Idk it doesn't make sense to me, but I found standby time is greatly increased if you turn on battery saving mode before closing the computer. Multitasking works well, I can play a game and stream a movie in the background, and have a good number of web pages open as well with no problems. I got this laptop when it was on sale at $720, and looking back it was a total steal. Anyone looking for a nice performance laptop can stop their search here. This is perfect for people who are into PC gaming but still have somewhat of a budget to keep in mind.

Bought this for my wife worked fine for a week then the screen went black turn it off and all was ok next day the same, screen went black difficult to turn off and back on again finally the screen went black again and non responsive. Returned it to Best Buy and selected a DELL 7000 series. This was a terrible product from HP. STAY AWAY from this computer.
