There is a known problem with the trackpad freezing, and HP is not standing behind their product. They will have you mail it to them, (can't be repaired at a facility) and keep it for a week and then mail it back OR you can UPGRADE warranty for $169 and they will prioritize the repair (the KNOWN ISSUE) It is just one big scam. Get a Lenovo Yoga..better product, same specs and price range.

Easy to use, fast and with a real nice design! great all purpose laptop

I've had this laptop just shy of 2 years now. I have only used it for school work and video streaming. I have never dropped it, am always careful when moving it etc. The first thing to stop working properly was the internal fans, that happened around 6 months of use. I had to get them replaced. My most recent problem, is the screen has separated from the back. One of the plastic parts that hold the two together has released its hold (it was held together with some sort of adhesive) and I didn't realize it, so I went to open my laptop and the entire bottom right corner of the screen snapped away from the back and is now damaged. My previous HP laptop went strong for 8 years, I had to replace just the fan 6 years in. This one has been nothing but a disappointment.

I purchased this model new and the power button was always difficult to engage effectively. It eventually stopped functioning soon after the manufacturer warranty lapsed. Strongly recommend going with another brand.
