CHEAP MATERIAL! ok laptop, but very poorly made.

The laptop works pretty well from the technological stand point. I have had it for a year now, and I don't see it lasting for any significant amount of time due to the quality of the materials it was made with. Only a couple of months after I initially bought my device, whenever I would switch my screen to use it as a tablet it would make this clicking sound and get stuck. I still had the factory warranty and they fixed the issue. Afterward, the bottom rubber piece that keeps the laptop from scratching fell off and my laptop began scratching on wooden surfaces and now has significant scratch marks along the bottom. The laptop is made from a very cheap, easily damaged, material which makes the laptop feel cheap even though it is a higher-end laptop. I would avoid buying this laptop if you are looking for something that will last a couple years. The laptop is very up to date and has many great technological features, but as I stated the quality of the product itself sucks.

My old envy broke, so I went and got the newest model. The new model is cheap. Don't be like me, go get something else. The moment I got this, the fan stared up on high. Anything makes the fan go off, and it's SO LOUD. Don't even try to zoom call, the fan will be so loud. Don't try to watch a movie, the fan will be so loud. I've gone through settings and fixed some of the fan issues, but it shouldn't be on the purchaser to be a computer tech.

    Very displeased with the purchase

I bought openbox HP laptop in January, 2021. Due to winter break, I wasn't able to use the laptop as much so I was unaware of the issues it had. After my winter break ended and I started using the laptop for college, the screen would occasionally turn black and I would have to restart the laptop for it to start working again. Also, I have problems with the screen completely freezing and that happens quite a lot, and when that happens the touch screen doesn't work either. I went to the store to get it checked out and they told me that these issues are not covered in manufacture's warranty and I have to buy different plans. I am very displeased with the service although I am a very old customer of BestBuy. The laptop should have been checked by the store before it was put for resale as an openbox. I am truly appalled. Knowing these issues now, I will never ever buy an open box in the future. I really want to buy a new laptop or get this fixed, but I don't enough budget! Getting the laptop fixed now will probably cost me more than I paid in the first place!!

I have had my laptop for over a year now and it has been nothing but problems. For a repair it was shipped down to KY because I kept getting msg about 'Boot Device not found'. I still get this msg but not as often. Now It locks up, I have to power down and I can't get it turn on.
