    Really enjoying this new laptop!

I didn't expect to need to pay more than $500 on a new laptop in 2020, but after much research I realized I did and why it is worth it (returned a cheap AMD with poor screen resolution). After my return, I spent several hours researching which laptop to buy before purchase and I am glad I did because I am very happy and believe I will have this laptop for years to come. I totally love this laptop. It looks, feels and performs very well. The keyboard lights up, the touch screen is very sensitive, and the size of the screen makes web browsing comfortable on my eyes. This may not be a 'travel' laptop due to it's size and weight, but the size enables me to flip the screen to tablet mode and watch Netflix. I prop it up like a tent and I feel like I have a new TV in my bedroom. Although a little bigger (15.6"), I will not hesitate to throw it in my luggage on a flight or take to a coffee shop to work. It's still comfortable to pick up and tote around. The screen resolution is up to par, the volume sounds great and I am a happy little resume-editing bee. I recommend this laptop, especially to anyone who is not constantly on the go with it. The only question should be if you want the core i5 or i7....but with my personal usage I did not feel it was necessary to pay more for the faster intel processor. Happy computer shopping :)

A great laptop that got me through my last few years of undergrad and grad school. Only issue I had was a physical repair of the screen after 3 years.

This laptop has got to be one of the best laptops out there. I never had any issues with it the whole time I owned. I wish I would have it but unfortunately I lost in a recent house fire.

All was well until the hinge broke at Year 2. Cost to repair is over $300 and this is a common problem as told to me by techs.

Descent machine when new, but with flaws

Descent machine but with flaws. I used this for 3 years. At first, things were great and had the power needed. Biggest drawback is the screen's glare. Even indoors, on a sunny day its impossible to see. Many times Ive had to close curtains during the day to see the screen at max brightness. Over time thr battery life degraded really bad. The two rubber strips on the bottom delaminated. The left hinge broke, causing the monitor to be crooked. Then one day it just died and will not turn on.

    A waste of money!!!

I bought this computer in 2021 and in May of 2024 it would not power on. I took it to best buy (geek squad) and they said the battery was dead and needed to purchase another battery. I purchase a new battery and it still was not powering on, I took it back to geek squad and they stated that the mother board might be damaged and they can send it out to be looked at which will cost me $85 and then if the mother board needs to be replaced that is additional cost which would be very expensive (more than what the laptop cost). A waste of money!!!!!

This is my second HP laptop and they both seem to have a problem with overheating. I like the touchpad feature but I really don't use it that often as it's just too big and unwieldy to use like a tablet.

Using the tablet method will brake the laptop faster all the bending, soon the screen will not close due to screws inside get loose

I love my computer it is amazing. It helps with work and has everything needed. The one down side is that if you do updated it as soon as it needs it you cant use the microphone. That upsets me a lot I need my with work.
