This 2021 model HP Envy laptop is very versatile and lightweight to get your work done on the road. I'm impressed by the overall finish quality and the opportunity to max the memory to 32GB. This should guarantee usability for the next 6-7 years. The touch screen is very responsive and the sound quality from the speakers is adequate for smooth jazz listening with coffee on the side. You can also incorporate a stylus pen for the tablet mode.

I like this new laptop. It's a little bigger than my previous one, but has a very thin profile. The only two drawbacks are related to the numerical keypad. It's great for accountants, but for touch-typing, it shifts the center of the main keyboard to the left, which feels awkward, typing off-center from the screen. Also, there's no CTRL key on the right side of the keyboard, which makes some combination keystrokes awkward. Performance-wise, it's a great machine.

I bought this laptop for my son who is in high school and he absolutely loves it. The 12 GB memory runs applications quite fast and browsing is super quick as well. It comes with 512 GB SSD which is better than the HDD storage version in terms of reliability. Touch screen works flawlessly and installation was a breeze. This laptop is not light by any means but is definitely manageable. Comes with USB-C port and the screen can be bent 360 degree offering flexibility as needed.

Solid Unit- Well Made, Great Work Flow

Solid unit. Brightness weak, great speed, good RAM, operates well, easy setup if you know how to customize. Battery could last longer but again workflow is great and backlighting on keys is nice with three options; noticed the sound lacks a bit (could be better quality, I've owned older laps that have better sound fidelity) and sometimes there is a lagging sound as I watch/listen on YouTube and am working on other projects simultaneously.

I bought this for my son to take to college. He has spent the last month getting it set up for what he needs, and is very pleased. This is a mid-line laptop, that he can do his computer science homework on, along with some simple gaming. Decent battery life, not terribly heavy, and the SSD gets it booted fast. Overall the laptop is nothing to brag about, but is solid enough to last through most of his college career (we hope), and it did not break the bank.

So far very pleased with my purchased. Shopped around and looked for the features I needed and compared cost. This so far fills the bill. It has a backlit keyboard and I turned off that feature, didn't need it. I'm still getting used to the new keypad and occasionally my pointer ends up in an odd place. Touch screen is nice, but I find I don't use it that much. Perhaps when traveling is when the 365 degree rotation of the laptop lid comes in handy w/ the touchpad combo.

I had purchased a HP in 2011; no problems with it until it slowed down due to old age. Due to my type of work, I needed another reliable laptop, but due to financial difficulties in 2020, I was on a specific budget I could not go over. I thought I was not going to be able to find all I needed with my limited budget. That said, I was completely wrong. This laptop gave me all I needed within my budget. It's nice to have a new laptop that runs quickly once again. Thanks HP!

We purchased this laptop for my wife and after two days of use, it wouldn't even startup. Called HP support and after a bit of troubleshooting, they recommended returning to Best Buy for a replacement. We returned it to Best Buy and received a quick, painless exchange for a brand new on that has worked perfectly since. Both HP and Best Buy stepped with very few questions to give us a great laptop. It is fast, the screen is great and it has been running great.

My HP ENVY computer is an upgrade from my old PC that was about 6-7 years old. What a world of difference! It has great speed and is always on (no loading) when I'm ready to work or surf. I'm really enjoying this PC. I currently have 41 windows open...yep, 41!, and am not experiencing any slowdown in page loading, etc. Love it so far. I've been using it for approximately one month now. I have the slow version of high speed internet.

I've had this machine for six weeks. It is very fast, at least for me. It looks nice. Ok, great. The issue I have with it is this, the CPU will show running over 50% and the fan will run sometimes for most of the day. I open task manager and cannot tell what service or app is using the pegged resources. SOMETIMES, I can see it is the Intel Chip (says Intel(R) Optane Memory Service). Is it window 10 virus scan running? I have no idea. I have an ASUS with 12GB memory (older I5 CPU) and it NEVER once had this issue. I noticed before I bought this that a few reviewers posted the fan ran a lot for them too. I paid $679 on sale and I will be putting this machine aside as a spare for my kids who are home schooling. I will be buying a new, different machine. Not happy with my purchase.

I'm still pleased after 2 months and in graduate school so am using a lot. My other family members including teenager have complained that the labeling of the keys are impossible to see. My wish is that HP used a type c power cord and port both sides like my chrome book for multifunctional use. Fan runs louder than I'd like, I'd prefer silence which isn't rational but for $ spent you'd think you could get a near quiet laptop.

Has been a great laptop so far! Good speed, good screen, etc.! The fan is a little louder than I was expecting, but that is not a big deal really. It does not seem to over heat or anything. I wish it had a CD drive, but we had narrowed some down based on RAM and memory and I missed this one did not have a CD drive. I can just get an external one if ever needed; but just can't watch any of the DVDs I have on it until I get one.

    Average Laptop

Overall the laptop is average. There are three main issues that I face with this one: 1) WiFi out of the blue becomes slower, can't do anything about it. Updates or reinstalling the driver didn't help. Either have to restart or just keep on using it and it will automatically become faster. 2) When using it as a tablet, there is no button to wake the screen up. This can be a huge problem if you're intending to use the laptop as a table quite often. Lenovo yoga or Dell XPS has their power button active even in tablet mode. 3) Fan noise - sometimes it's too high even when you are not running multiple applications.
