Okay computer. Horrible touch pad.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Still haven’t been able to get my touch pad to work properly. It’s a royal pain not to be able to use it freely as it’s constantly picking up items or highlighting items or moving items or opening items all by itself. Geek squad doesn’t have a good fix.

Good laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The one reason I got a new laptop was to play DVD’s for my workout class I teach since my old laptop would not keep music, words, and moves synced. Turns out you have to buy a DVD player app. I tried using a portable external DVD player and nothing.

Should be great....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to love this laptop. It is a really great value for the specs you get. When its working correctly it has good speed coupled with a sleek design, nice front-facing speakers, etc. But I have been in a BIOS update nightmare since the day I purchased it in June. Right out of the box it needs a BIOS update, it failed to install correctly but you don't get an error message, it just reboots and you get a black screen every time you try to boot up. I have installed a 2nd BIOS update since and am attempting a 3rd now and every time - same process. From my research, it appears HP knows the problem exists in multiple systems and continues to fail to address it.

Hp computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had problems loading this computer. It is currently at Best Buy Janesville Wisc. Hoping they can get things running properly. I do have the three year geek squad. So I’m counting on them getting it working correctly.

Thousand dollar brick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tl;dr: Returning this and increasing my price range for something decent. I walked into my local store and spoke to a very helpful associate that showed me this and a Yoga laptop. The first sign of trouble was when he couldn't get the Bamboo Ink pen to connect. I took my chances because this laptop was perfect for what I was needing. Brought it home and I was so disappointed. First off the screen is so glossy it is nearly impossible to use around a light source and not to mention very flimsy. I was lucky I only received a screen with minor light bleeding but putting any pressure on the chassis makes the screen panel quiver, literally. I have an issue with the keyboard's back lighting because in the dark it is so bright I don't want to use it and when it's off there's bleeding from the power buttons light. My biggest issue is why I returned it; the bluetooth makes using any 2.4GHZ wifi literally impossible. The pen I spent $70 on and my bluetooth headphones cannot be used simultaneously with a normal wifi connection and they will fight for the signal. To get a decent (more than the 20 megabits per second on 2.4GHz) connection you have to be connected to a 5GHZ internet connection but the whole point of me purchasing this was for college and I know my college doesn't offer that. This is an ongoing issue with HP and their solution for me was to just not use my bluetooth. My solution is to not buy this laptop.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hinges on the backpiece have broken twice now. I use this only for school and have never dropped it. It has a cheap plastic piece not suitable for using the laptop. This is actually the second one of these I have. The first one came to me with a broken mousepad. When I called HP support they told me I had to buy McAfee Anti-Virus to fix it... Not how that works. Best Buy was great about replacing it. Geek Squad was also helpful in fixing the backpiece.

Worst Company Ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the worst product I have ever purchased online and I am 100% dissatisfied with product and Company. I purchased a new computer for my son and his new job. Bought the computer on June 15th. I gave it to him on July 10th as a Birthday gift. I let him use my computer on June 9th for his promotion to a new job as he needed a laptop. I received the package and wrapped it and held on to it for about 3 weeks and gave it to him as a present. I expected to get my computer back from him at that time. When he opened it the touch pad was all scratched up. So we instantly THOUGHT.....DISPLAY MODEL. I was upset more than him. But, he turned it on and sure enough the touch screen didn't work. The computer seemed great and fast and looked nice. But it was NOT the $1100 brand new computer I thought I had just purchased. I called the store and they laughed at me and told me I had 15 days to return it once I ordered it so for future reference I should get off the couch and go to the store. Never have I ever been so insulted. So I have a defective product and have lost all respect for BEST BUY. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. Oh....and I forgot I ordered a bamboo ink stylus and mouse as well. The bamboo pen is either broken or the battery it came with is NO GOOD. I have yet to get to the store to buy a new AAAA battery for the pen. It had a tag for me to pull out to activate the battery but once I did, I didn't light up. So...I'm thinking the pen is broken because the battery shouldn't have been making a connection to drain. what a DISASTER!!!! I also might add that my nearest Best Buy store is 4 hours away in Odessa Texas.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not bad, but when attaching auxiliary hard drives is a known problem, it's not for me. Wouldn't recognize it half the time, and the rest of the time, wouldn't let me save to it.

Good product, bang for the buck.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be honest, this is for my wife that does a lot of work with numbers and having a not-too-heavy laptop with a ten key and decent specs for under a grand made this an easy decision.

Good medium quality laptop.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good computer, would not recommend for alot of commuting the power connection is flimsy would not hold up in the field. If you need a rugged laptop wouldn't look at this one.

Misleading performance advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.new computer out-of-the-box when I start it up I get a message "The Smart AC Adapter connected will power your computer but potentially at a reduced performance level... Please connect a higher capacity Smart AC Adapter for full performance." Why would Best Buy sell a product that has an inadequate power supply? this borders on false advertising as the product I bought does not perform to the level as specified on the box.
