Overall a solid choice

It was longer and had more grilling space, but the heating plates didn't detach, which made it cumbersome to clean. Both heating plates detach which is super convenient. This one also has a timer and temperature setting which the other one didn't. However, the instructions included provided almost no help at all.

Good general purpose, including ink jets

For double sided printing, there is a slight bit of ink "show-through" --probably true for any 20 lb. paper like this. I have 24 lb. weight paper that is slightly thicker and pricier that ink won't show-through at all, but for all usual purposes this HP paper is fine.
