The ink lasted me quite a while as I mainly used this with a printer in my office which backed up copies on our office laser jet. I was not too inclined to sign up for the monthly plan as I though that was a joke.

It goes by pages printed not amount of ink used, so I can now print out as much color sheets and photos as I want within my plan. I get a notification if I am going over, and I can check my page counts anytime to monitor my prints. The only problem was when they shipped my first replacements, it took a long time to get here. Hopefully that was just a one time delay.
