Customers are saying
Customers recognize the high-quality ink and ease of use associated with the Instant Ink 100-Page Monthly Plan. Many appreciate the affordable price point for the convenience it offers. However, some users experienced compatibility issues with certain printers and found the monthly page limit restrictive. The plan's value proposition is centered around ink quality and convenience, but compatibility and page limitations are potential drawbacks.

FREE INK - up to 9 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought SECOND family printer as it came with 6 months FREE HP INSTANT INK. + 3 FREE months with a code = 9 months I signed up for the HP INSTANT INK subscription - which saves massively on not paying for Ink Cartridges - and they send out ink well before the ink cartridges need replacing. Sign up to the HP INSTANT INK subscription and get 3 FREE MONTHS using code: vb8BN or using the link: [email protected]/vb8BN Great for all the family to print using a dedicated HP email address - so can send documents remotely to it. I hope the code works for you guys too so you will get 9 months of FREE INK - I chose the highest page allowance - for use during the free ink period - will review usage during the 9 months

Instant Ink
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the idea of Instant Ink. It is cheaper in the long run. It is nice to know that I don't have to run to the store each time I need ink.

Not Recommended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enrolling in HP Instant Ink has proven to be a very poor choice. I have had problems with internet connectivity; cartridges last long enough that I end up paying more for ink than I would have, and now that I'm trying to leave the program, they are informing me the color cartridge I received (quite some time back) while enrolled in the program will not work because I'm no longer with the program! To add insult to injury, upon calling to cancel in October, I was informed that I would be charged for November and THEN allowed to leave the program. I will NEVER buy HP again unless they can resolve this satisfactorily.

Terrible customer service.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought instant ink when I bought my printer. I could swear it did not mention any of the limitations / drawbacks. You could save 50%, but you could also spend several hundred percent more for the ink. Your rollover pages are limited to three months. I don't remember seeing that when I signed up. When I found out, I had 135 rollover pages. I was rolling over 45 pages a month on a 50 page plan. If I didn't find out, it would have cost almost $1 a page. When I downgraded, I lost over 100 rollover pages. If I use all my rollover pages, it would have cost about 30 cents a page. IMO HP does their best to hide this. I don't see a log in on their page. I had to go through the sign up page. You may still choose to do it depending on your circumstance, but if you do, go to their instant ink page before signing up. I signed up through the cartridge installation and don't remember seeing any of the drawbacks. Understand too that HP's customer service IMO will not attempt to make it right.

Who wouldn't want it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a money saver if you print a lot or even a little. During the school year we use the 9.99 plan. But other than that we use the 4.99 plan. I never ever remember using the 2.99 plan because I'm sure we're gonna need to print more than 50 pages with in a month. And if we don't then too bad. I just can't imagine using any plan that's less than the 100 sheet plan. Instant ink was a brilliant idea for hp's printer customers. Now we don't have to be afraid to print in color or in black because Hp is not being stingy on the ink when you use their ink service. Also it Would be even better if hp would send a pack of paper once a year. Thank You Hp for this service.

Avoid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be cautious on hp instant ink. Just a scam to keep you paying. We don't print much and paid for 100 pages plan over some time now. Just cancelled as we are not utilizing it. Found out that the cartridges we have in our printer will be made useless and can't be used to print anything and we will be required to put store bought cartridges to print again. Pretty sure I paid over a long period, more than enough money to have bought store bought cartridges!!! So now I won't even be able to use the cartridges that I paid for through the subscription at the renewal date since I cancelled. Avoid this unless you print all the time.

Not worth it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used this program for the two years (current date 9/2018) since I got a new printer. Seemed like a great idea. I have two kids in middle/high school, I feel like I print things pretty regularly, so does my husband. Having looked over our usage, we generally print just over 100 pages per month. That means the 100 page per month is too small and the 300 pages per month is WAY more than we need. But I was paying for the 300 page per month plan. Today I decided to go look at the cost of ink to see if I was really saving anything. At the first place I checked, I found that the cost of the black XL and multi pack color was just over $100 (I was paying about $120/year for the instant ink program, and yes, I realize they're supposed to be bigger cartridges). Please note that I have been enrolled in the program for 2 years (a few of those months were on the smaller plan, but for the purposes of my review, let's just figure $120/year for 2 years). I decided to cancel my plan. Here's what I found interesting about the cancellation process...I got an email telling me that the cartridges that I'd been sent from the instant ink program would no longer work after my cancellation date and I should send them back for recycling. Part of the agreement, blah, blah, blah. OK, fine. I'd gotten a box of cartridges back in April of this year, but it was unopened as I hadn't needed them yet. Over the 2 year period, I've paid for what amounts for 2 "sets" of ink, but only used one. Presuming that the cartridges in my printer are nearly empty (since they sent me new ones 5 months ago), I've paid over double what I would otherwise have paid for the ink I've used. Very disappointing. Very not impressed with this program, which, at the moment, I'm feeling like is a rip off. I'm sure it was in the small print, but when I signed up and as I've been going along, it never occurred to me that the cartridges provided were any different than the ones I could buy anywhere. I thought it was just an ink subscription service. I would not recommend the program at this point, for any level of printing. The idea of not having to go run out to get ink is nice, but I'm not willing to pay what will end up being more than double the standard price for the convenience of "never running out of ink". I can never run out of ink by buying an extra set of cartridges and keeping them on the shelf near my printer.

Fabulous Idea
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I heard about the ink program through the HP printer I purchased I was excited to get it, I had no idea how much I would love it. No more running to the store to get ink in the middle of the print job I am working on or trying to stock p on ink so I have it on hand and forget where I placed it. I simply get ink in the mail before I am even out and have it ready to install as soon as I run out. No more wondering how many more pages I can print before needing more ink. It has really made my job easier at home. Genius pure brilliance!

Terrible service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give them 0 starts if I could. I canceled my HP insta ink account. I have been unable to print since. It’s now been a month. Customer service hangs up on me every single time I call for support. I have called 4times today to only be told that my account has been canceled, and that they cannot provide any assistance to get my printer to print again. My printer continues to give me an error message “contact hp insta ink”. I am ready to just buy a new printer and be done. Customer service has been nothing but rude and unhelpful every time I have called over the past 3 weeks.

THIS IS A GREAT PROGRAM !!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I truly love my new HP-Printer as well as the HP-Ink Refill Program. This is a great program that allows you to conduct your professional as well as personal printing needs worry free from running out of ink. I personally hate having to make ink runs to the store and with this program this is one less thing that I have to worry about. I used the service and within my first three weeks I received ink refills according to my usage. IT'S A GREAT PROGRAM !!!!

Rip OFF
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a scam!! I was told I have 6month free trial with instant ink, no you don’t. The HP app that monitor the printer doesn’t stay connected, and complicates the entire printing process. I didn’t received any ink because it constantly shows that I didn’t print anything witch it’s not true at all. I reached out to them multiple times, no reply. And to cancel this crap was very complicated and frustrated process.

Be sure that you really want this program
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be sure that you really want this program. Printer won't work after you try to cancel the cartridge subscription later. HP raised the price on the cartridge subscription this year, too. I haven't been able to contact HP to get out from under this suboptimal deal.

The Best Deal I Know Of
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best deal ever! The price is modest and for an old man who doesn't want to go out, the convenience is unequalled. The printer is online, so new cartridges show up as needed with no effort on my part.
