I purchased the printer and decided to try the "Instant Ink" feature because it eliminates the need for me to order HP ink and is also cheaper than if I purchased the ink directly from any supplier. To my surprise, within a few weeks of turning on my printer, I received my first "Instant Ink" order without having to do any actual ordering. Because ink is only ordered when I get close to running out, I don't have to keep extra ink on hand. Love this new concept from HP!

Buying ink is costly and you usually blow through ink very easily especially if you print a lot of pictures. With this, you pay monthly for printing and it is based on how many sheets you print out. You can pay for so many sheets per month and they send you ink as you run low. All you do is put the old cartridges in the package they send you and send it back once you have several cartridges. Is a great value if you print out a lot of pictures.

HP provides 3 different print / month cost options, a free app to track everything from how much you are printing - to tracking the delivery of your new ink, & they offer a free trial prior to your commitment. Plus, they offer free recycling of the empty cartridges. Whether you print a little or a lot- HP Instant Ink is worth trying. Fairly priced plans & ink on demand to your door- before you need it.

Easy to connect to HP account. The HP Instant Ink enrollment plan is easy, fast, and personalized as you can choose the plan based on the pages you print. Since the plan is based on the pages you print you definitely save a lot of money on the ink cartilages. Upon enrollment you get sent the first package of ink cartilages right away (I was surprised on how quick it came) and the following packages will be shipped once you are low on ink.

Came free for 3 months with printer purchase. Not sure if I will ever use it but from what Ive read, if you burn through a lot of ink it will save you money.

Seems like everyone is doing the subscription thing. From newspapers to magazines and software. Now HP has jumped on the subscription band wagon. To me, it sounded like an ok idea. For $10 a month I can print 300 pages, black and white, color, low resolution or high resolution. The ink is no longer an issue, just the number of pages I print. I'm self employed and do a bit of printing, but I'm not sure if I will be printing 300 pages a month. Luckily, there are 3 different tiers and I can downgrade any time. I was VERY lucky when I went to buy my new printer. An HP rep was there and they were doing a promotion so I got a 3 month subscription for free. Then, somehow, the planets aligned just right, the angels started singing and I found a discount code and got another 3 months for free. Oh, and HP sends out a full set of new ink right from the start, so even if I were to cancel the service (you can cancel anytime), I still get a full set of ink for free. Somehow, I wound up with 6 full months of being able to print 300 pages and use up all the ink I want for no charge. Thus the 5 star rating.

I will be glad to have ink when I need it rather than have to run to the store when I need ink. It also will be a savings.

Man. The reason I walked into Best Buy to purchase my HP Printer was specifically for the great HP Ink program that is offered. I was running through ink more than I thought I should be with my previous printer. I switched to an HP and enrolled in their Instant Ink and its been great since. So convenient how they send out when your ink reaches a certain level. And its at your door ready for you to simply just switch out. The wife and I love it.

This is the best and cheapest way to get ink! Ink is usually SO expensive I just buy a new printer so whoever thought of this idea was genius! The only downside is that HP remotely shuts off your printer when your payment is late or you go over your page limit. That is understandable BUT kind of scary...what else can they do and look at. Slippery slope I say...what if in the future they don’ t like WHAT you are printing and then shut it off? Just a thought.

I received the ink cartridges about 1 week after I bought the printer, and still haven't installed the ink yet. I'm still using the ink cartridges that came with the printer.

I love the instant savings I get from ordering ink as needed. This is very convenient and fits in my budget.

This is a great way to get ink without the hassle of going in the store. You have the option to get free ink if you’re only printing 15 pages per month. You can change this at anytime to your printing needs. It does track the printer ink levels and that’s the only issue for me. Because I don’t keep my printer on or plugged up when not in use and I receive email alerts telling me to turn on the printer. But it’s a great buy.

HP's program of sending ink directly to your home prior to you running out is better than sliced bread!! You can select best program for your needs based on how sheets you print per month - ink arrives proactively so when you get notice on screen to replace the ink cartridges, you already have them on hand - and they are HP cartridges, at a lower cost and better than 'refills' which I have found in the past may be a 'cheaper' option but do not hold up in the long run. Great idea and very happy using it.

Have been using this service for a while, never run out of ink, one price per month and has roll over pages if not used.
