setup was made more difficult because the actual online connection to the HP website to load drivers and setup local network sharing did not work as described in the meager setup pamphlet provided with the printer. The pamphlet indicated that the software I needed could be obtained at the uSoft store (which I wanted to avoid) or directly from HP. I opted for the latter option and HP immediately dumped me off into the uSoft store. After dodging a bunch pop-up advertising and struggling with my lack of documentation of what I was doing, I was finally able to print a test page from my laptop to the new printer. The next day I was able to add my desktop to the same net as the laptop and new printer (using no other software other than that included in Windows 10) to print a test page from my desktop computer. My first real application using the printer was to print out the PDF of my TurboTax-generated tax forms and worksheets (about 80 pages total), which went well. During the generation of my tax forms TurboTax determined that I needed to provide supporting data direct to IRS on paper hard copy delivered by USPS certified mail. I had that information in my broker's year-end tax report which I had received in paper form. The HP LJ M140 was able to copy the needed 5 pages from the brokerage document to mail to the IRS, thereby demonstrating the scan and copy capabilities of the new printer. In summary, The HP LJ M140w multifunction printer fully meets my needs for scanning, copying and printing, despite the difficulties encountered during installation. Other users may require a faster print engine or the ability to copy large documents unattended, but these are not capabilities that I need.

I have used this HP scanner/printer for several months now and am happy. Easy setup, reliable connection, no issue whatsover. The software that comes with it (for Windows), is a bit clumsy and slow even though my computer is high-end and fast.

I’m an HP person and this new printer hasn’t disappointed at all. I had it set up, connected to my WiFi and printing in less than 8 minutes. It’s small, sleek, and looks nice on my desk. Great price for a laser printer, scanner, and copier.

Great wireless printer! Set-up and connecting to newer Mac computer is easy, but I did time out at one part of it. However, the instructions manual tells one how to go back to set-up mode. Printing is clear and fast. I haven't tried connecting to other devices yet, but it appears to be easy to set it up/ compatible for iPhone and non-Apple devices as well. The size is also perfect for small spaces to tuck into a corner or place on a table

Love my printer - just the fact that it’s not taking up a large amount of space is an excellent reason in and of itself! To add to it, it’s not as loud as other printers I’ve had in the past, being cordless Come On It cannot get any better than that we love this machine….

I LOVE this printer! Super small footprint, toner lasts for a really long time and if just a workhorse if all you need is black and white printing! This is my second printer of this model - I bought the first one and used it constantly until oneday it would not turn on. Just so happened to be out of warranty by 6 days!!!! It was inexpensive enough to have been able to buy a second one. Easy to set up, easy to change toner, and hopefully will last mor than a year!

I am still learning how to use the various features of this HP compact wireless laser jet black and white printer. (Not an inkjet model with bottles of colored ink to take care of.) Printer fits conveniently on top of a file cabinet next to my desk. So far I have mainly used it to make copies of documents needed for taxes, apartment lease renewal, and the like. I am glad I paid for a Best Buy Geek to install it and make it compatible with my tower, monitor, keyboard, mouse, router, modem, power backup device, etc. I look forward to when I will be able to give it more stars, but I first need to study the instructions that came with it.

Great little printer, with clear very print in quite small space. Only issue is that I need to keep paper try empty until needed as it sticks out well beyond the printer foot print. Not an issue since use will not be frequent. Using USB so super easy to connect.

I like this printer! Its footprint and design are pretty good. The display are is adequate.

Had the laserjet pro M29we before this. Replaced it with this (nearly identical, new gen) because no reset for new wifi could be found. That printer early on would not print due "out of paper", while the bin is at least 1/2 full. Cant remember how (about 3 plus y.a.) but that ceased being a prob. This, one week in has same problem when printing from my windows desktop...unless i print a test page before, after which magically, the printer finds the paper and prints it up. No such prob printing from.my ipad pro, or samsu g s20 FE 5g phone. So need to find a solutuin for windows, but, as to the printer, its small form factor, scanning and print capabilities, when everythingnis working, is amazing..

Works well. Perfect size. Hp app was pretty easy to use. Scanning not figured out yet.

This small footprint printer does exactly what its supposed to do. It prints fast and flawlessly. It can’t be beaten for the price.

Look to be honest, I miss the days where I could would use a USB cord to attach a printer to my computer and load up the CD's with the printer drivers and voila, good to go! But this new generation HP is very easy to set up quickly and connect to the internet. It pairs nicely with home internet and the HP app for my iPhone interfaces without complication. No more jammed color cartridges!

Great little B/W printer. Relatively quiet and quick. Although it's a black and white printer, it does a good job scanning in color. Setup is straight forward.

My first time getting a wireless printer. Easier than I thought to wifi connect to my desk top computer and iphone. More compact and streamlined than my old printer. Also has a scanner and fast speed printing. Prefer this toner cartridge, so easy to install and prints clearly. Highly recommend purchasing this printer.

This review might be a little basic because I just bought the printer 30 minutes ago, and have only printed 3 things. That said, I have faced a 2 day battle with a new Canon printer that we could never get to work. After a 43 minute hold with Canon and 40 minutes of doing what the guy asked of me, we never could get it to work. After taking it back, and getting this lovely machine, I was printing in literally 5 minutes after walking in the door with the box. It’s super small and works great in our out of the way place in our study. It being white totally blends in with our white plantation shutters behind it.
