The HP LaserJet M209dwe is a great, simple printer. Setup is super fast, and print quality is great. If you don't have a need to print in color, this is a great option, especially with 6 months of free toner. Simple setup, great quality prints.

The HP LaserJet M209dwe is a very compact laser printer (measuring about 8"x9"x14" excluding the paper tray). The printer is easy to configure for wireless printing from computer and from a smart phone - and wireless printing is pretty fast. It allows for two-sided printing but has few other features. It is truly a bare-bones system (I don't believe it claims to be more). But to be clear: this is a wireless black-and-white laser printer with no additional ports to use for printing from other media and it has no scan/copy/fax capabilities. But it is a fine laser printer - with very crisp text and surprisingly good graphics printing. And with HP+ and HP's Instant Ink program, this can be an economical printer as well (I really dislike this same program for ink cartridges). By registering online, you get an extra year of HP warranty and (an optional) six free months of a subscription for Instant Ink (meaning toner cartridges) - so for the six months of the trial, they allow you up to 1500 printed pages per month and will replace your cartridge when needed. After six months, you segue into one of their five printing subscriptions. And, yes, you need to sign up using a credit card (but can cancel at any time). A standard toner cartridge for this printer (W1340A) is just under $50 and lasts for an estimated 1100 pages - just under 4.5¢ per page. Their cheapest subscription plan is about $2/month for up to 50 pages which would be 4¢ a page - they allow up to 10 additional pages for a dollar and allow you to keep a cumulative rollover of up to 100 unused pages per month. The other plans are about $4/month (100 pages), $14/month (400 pages), $20/month (800 pages), and $26/month (1500 pages). All plans allow you to keep a cumulative rollover of up to 2x the monthly page limit. And at maximum usage, the $26/month plan drops the printing price to about 1.7¢ per page. As a dedicated printer, this can be a very economical choice.

I had to print out 92 page mortgage documents and it took about 3 minutes for it all to kick out! The documents were professional quality with no visible smudging! It left no black ink dust residue you normally see in some older laserjet printer models. If you are looking for a printer that is high quality then this is the one for you!

This is a great small footprint b/w printer. I really enjoyed the setup of this printer as it was very easy to install. The speed is fast and it can hold a lot of paper. One item that may change your mind is HP wants you to sign up for ink thru a monthly cost program which may not be for everyone but if you know you are going to go thru some ink you will have the ink carts waiting for you.

HP LaserJet M209dwe is the best printer I have used for printing documents and worksheets. It prints fast and I haven't had an issue yet with printing jobs. Its also wireless which makes it all the more better and it works with almost anything you're using. The HP app is PERFECT for me and really helps get the most out the printer. Being able to print a PDF off my phone has really saved me time and has made my life easier! Plus with the HP+ getting 6 months of toner is just another reason why to get a HP printer. Im going to only stick with HP printers from now on just from the good experience I have had with the HP LaserJet M209dwe!! I highly recommend this product especially for business or school use, it will make your life easier!

It’s simple to connect and prints really fast. I can even print from my phone which is so convenient

Very nice printer. Setup is quick and simple with the HP smart app. I just removed it from the box, plugged in power and was up and printing in about 5 minutes. Once connected to wifi you can print from phone, tablet, computer, anything that is on the same wifi network. Quick first page out and rapid printing after that. Love the HP+ for extended warranty and free toner program, has variable usage choices to ensure you get the needed toner to handle your usage. I really like the wifi "no cord" setup and ability to put this anywhere you have a wifi signal and wifi, works great and let's me move it around periodically when I want.

I am using this in my classroom and absolutely love it. quick prints without having to make a trip down the hall. Print quality is a+. Air print is nice as well.

This fast, reliable printer would get 5 stars if it weren't so agonizingly difficult to connect to WiFi. Without a screen, you're reliant on HP Smart, which isn't. More often than not it cannot detect the device, making connecting to a new router or re-connecting after it goes offline (which it does for any number of reasons) extremely difficult and time-consuming.

Compact, light weight with fast printing. Used for legal documents a real workhorse for the home or small office. The HP refill service is a great way to keep up on toner.

The price is good. It is not easy to connect via wireless. I have tried 3 laptops and 3 cell phones to make it connected. It doesn't have copy nor scan functions.

It took a minute to get it set up on my wife's computer. Just call HP save yourself some time. Once that was done it has been an awesome addition to her office.

I purchased this for a 75 year old friend. He didnt want color and was tired of ink cartridges drying up on him. Je wanted a solid printrr and make a few copies. This printer worked excellent for him. I used HP Smart app to set it up and configure it to his wifi. It works great and 30ppm speed!

Loving my new laser printer. Was tired of the standard jet printers that seemed to always be out of ink. It was instantly plug and play. Quick printing with excellent resolution. Very pleased.

This is terrible device for small business. I am an IT professional with 20 years experience. i understand the need to set the unit up with network, but as it was configured for USB printing, i was shocked that when i took this printer in the field, it would not print. I have since learned that no matter what you do, NO NETWORK = NO PRINT I tried the Offline only driver install from their website, and it STILL requires network. Even worse, i decided to just use it in the office. Set it up and had normal operation for about 5 months, then after a loss of network in the office, the printer will not reconnect. I've factory rest it a dozen times and cant get functionality back. The app is mandatory for any change, setup or maintenance. Not only is the app unresponsive, but it will not complete the printer setup so i am left with a lot of lost time and money and the need to purchase a printer that will function reliably in every environment. Finally, after reaching out to HP help, i was basically told it was my fault for not understanding that network was needed at all times and there was nothing more they could do. Please, choose ANY OTHER MODEL and BRAND. This has been a bad experience all around and I will be avoiding HP products in the future

Hello, I received this unit, and found that HP controlled the toner powder completely. To being able to remotely turn off your printer and even stop printing IF you don't agree to the terms... I sent it back to supplier.. they did refund my purchase cost.

Value for money and one basic printer must have at home.
