Do not buy
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this printer on June. First problem was it is too hard to setup printer. I cant imagine how complicated finding the printer and adding it in to hp smart app. I called customer service and it took my half and hour to resolve it. Finally i have successful to connect their cloud. Second i have tried to subscribe hp ink it wont work either. Third i have ordered not ho brand toner they are not working either. Company is trying make money by selling toner as well thats why they plenty of security stuff. Fourth, printer says it cannot print because their is an error happen i called the customer service no solution i have gave up with this printer and any hp brands.

Quality printing, compact size, easy setup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second HP printer I've had the good fortune to review this month and I'm very happy with both offerings. The HP M209dwe with HP+ is a black and white laser printer with both wifi and ethernet connectivity. Setup took about 10 minutes from opening the box to printing a test page. I used the HP Smart app from the Windows store to do this, but you can also use your mobile phone. Part of the setup involves choosing a plan for HP Instant Ink, which is included for free for 6 months through HP+ (along with an additional year warranty). The plans are all priced according to usage, with the top plan covering up to 1500 pages per month (with up to 3000 pages of rollover). Personally I think the real value of the HP Instant Ink plans is for light to medium use, where they have a very low monthly price and turn a light use printer into a "never bother thinking about" appliance. It just orders its own ink when it needs it. Print quality is very good, and the auto installed drivers for all of the computers on my network perform quite well without needing to get a separate package from HP's site. The HP Print anywhere feature is also really nice - being able to send a document to your home printer from anywhere that you have internet service is a great convenience. One thing I really like from this HP LaserJet is the inclusion of an ethernet port in addition to wifi - and the small touch from HP of a sticker covering the USB port. I have a robust home network but I am always trying to keep traffic off wireless if I can avoid it, so being able to hard wire the HP printer is a boon for me. Performance on both wifi and ethernet are just fine, so if you don't want to be tethered to an ethernet connection you can really put the printer anywhere and feel good about it. The HP printer is a little taller but significantly less deep than the competitor's laser printer I'm replacing. It fits perfectly on top of a bookshelf where the competitor needed a little more depth so it hung off. Another plus in the HP's column.
