You can only use HP toner. Off market toner will not work even if you swap out cartridge chips. The toner is more than the printer. Avoid unless you plan on junking it in a year.

Couldn’t get it to print. Had a HP technician come out he couldn’t get it to print replace the item with the same item. It wouldn’t print.

Since purchasing have had to spend hours on phone with hp customer service, in the first 2 weeks of owning it. Have never had this much trouble getting a printer to work. Still tells you it is out of paper every time you try to print regardless of the amount of paper in it. You have to open and shut the printer tray every time to get it to reset in order to print. Still no fix from HP.

It was on sale and I wanted a printer for mid level use, but it was difficult setting up and I cannot enroll in HP Instant Ink.

Printer was rarely used, just hit the year mark. Tried turning it on to print and the LCD screen is stuck on the HP logo.

There a multitude of printers available today, but laser jet printers have definitely become my recommended printer type for all use cases. With laser jet printers HP definitely continues to put out reliable printers with a great aesthetic that does not mirror the traditional bulky white office printers. The features of this printer definitely set it apart from other similar office printers. Firstly, right out of the box the appearance of this printer is what set it apart. HP has done a great job recently focusing on the aesthetics of their products and that has not changed here. The printer does not have that cheap look and feel to it and the design definitely makes it stand out. Then looking at the various features this printer covers everything you would want. It supports all your basic functions including printing, scanning, copying, and faxing to help alleviate clutter from multiple devices doing these tasks individually. Looking at the actual performance of the printer HP again does not cut any corners. The printing speed is great at about 35 pages per minute and is able to handle high-volume printing tasks efficiently with it`s large tray capabilities (input 250 pages and output 150 pages). Furthermore, the print quality is exceptional. Everything I have printed has come out crisp and clear with sharp text and vibrant colors. The printer's scanning and copying functions are just as strong. The printer has both a built-in flatbed scanner and an automatic document feeder which allow for scanning or copying of multi-page documents. I will also note that it did not have any issues at all with double sided documents as this is one area I have had issues in the past with other printers. When it comes to printers they are simple machines, but can be difficult to work with at times. That is not the case here as the machine is extremely user friendly. The control panel and the responsive touchscreen make navigation and configuration very easy. The printer's interface is well-designed and straightforward, so even less tech-savvy individuals can operate it with ease. Connectivity is also great and allows an easy setup as it has both wired and wireless options. It supports Ethernet and USB connections so if you wanted to incorporate it into existing office networks you could do so. The wifi connectivity is always the biggest thing for me when it comes to printer use as this is the area I usually have the most trouble with, but I have not had any issues at all printing from multiple devices such as laptops, smartphones, and tablets. When it comes to printers reliability and useful life are the two most important elements in my opinion to which this machine does not seem to have any issue with that. It definitely seems to have been built with durability in mind and can handle heavy-duty printing tasks without compromising performance. Also the secure printing and user authentication for sensitive documents helps build on the reliability component. In conclusion, I understand that laser jet printers may be more expensive along with the toner and this machine is definitely set at a slightly higher price point for a reason as it delivers on every facet you could ask for. The machine is both reliable and versatile and delivers impressive performance in various aspects. With its fast printing speed, exceptional print quality, multi-functionality, and user friendly interface, it is nearly perfect in all elements and is definitely a worthy investment.

Connectivity issues with an older computer-so it might not be the fault of this printer-but, the setup of scanning and other functions was horribly difficult. I never did figure out how to setup scan to email, and had to use the app just to cancan to a network folder. I ended up taking this back-ink cartridges are extremely expensive also.

This is garbage, last HP printer I bought was 2002. It finally died. Bought this printer which is 3x the price and it's my second time returning it. It doesn't print out wirelesly . It shows on the unit it's connected to wifi and Bluetooth but will not print. Done with it. Down grading to a regular 200.00 model

Having troubles getting it to connect consistently with my computer.

Just received the printer and followed the setup instructions. I’ve had an HP printer for years and use the HP Smart app consistently. The app doesn’t recognize the new printer. The app also doesn’t give an option to configure the printer by model nr, serial nr., etc… i hope to change this rating if it ever gets loaded on the app.

At first glance, this is a lovely design... Now I wish HP put the same amount of attention on the unit's function. Every time I print something, it sounds like the rollers are grinding. It may print over the network a few times and then lose its way. You can't find the printer from multiple computers which in most cases require a complete restart.

I am really disappointed with this print. Too many issues for the price I paid for this printer.

I have been purchasing HP Printers for my small office for YEARS and these last 2 I've purchased have been S%*T! And for the same reason both times...putting lines on document fed scans. The first one I only had for about 2.5 years. This newest one I've had for 5 months! And of course, Best Buy can't do anything so I have to go to "the manufacturer". That's going to be fun! You would think that when you spend $600 on a printer and then another $120 for EACH toner cartridge, they would work longer than 5months to 3 years!!!

Piece of junk! It had error codes right out of the box. Fixed them and now it has an event code that it will not get past. Best Buy will not return it after just 54 days!!! I'm a benefits member, but it doesn't matter. Why would small businesses deal with Worst Buy if they don't stand behind the product they sell? Done with Worst Buy.
