Very nice printer. The only problem I had is there are not very detailed instructions for the setup.

It's a very nice printer, but doesn't work good for photographs. It also kept having multiple paper jams. Excellent on regular color printing and faxes.

Was in need of a printer. My previous printer went out suddenly. So far this has been a better printer. The ink was a little prices. Wanted to buy extra so not to run out, with what comes with the printer, had to order & cost more then the printer. As long as it last shouldn't need ink for a long time.

This printe had four major breakdowns in the first three months and all HP woudl do was credit 75% of the purchase price. Fortunately that is now behind us and we have had no additional problems. When working the printer is fast and produces excellent results in text, graphics, photos, everything

Nice printer. However, the information to get it started was very vague. Finally got it working with my electronics after consulting with three different individuals. Not everyone is an electronics genius. Should include clearer manual direction's for set-up.

Printer works great but the cartridges are very expensive and they don't last long. The cartridges in my printer at home are little ones and they last longer.

    SOFTWARE ISSUES FROM DAY 1

VERY BUGGY software: installed, removed & re-installed numerous times trying various download options from HP. Downloaded driver after driver. Downloaded HP Print Doctor. Helped for a bit, then didn't. It will work for a while and then it just doesn't. Sometimes it will print double sided, sometimes it wont. It is connected by a USB to an HP computer. While researching solutions, we found that there are a lot of people with this issues. It's a buggy, buggy printer.

We have had the worst luck with the printer. It may not be the printers complete fault however its hard to print when it randomly stops working. Disconnects, has an error or something. I am always removing it and reinstalling it. If I could I would return it and get something different.

Easy to set-up and works as expected. Only issue is I wish the colors were more vibrant/better detail but that is somewhat expected with a laser printer. Overall we are pleased with the purchase so far.

It does a wonderful job. It is a much bigger footprint but the regular HP 9015 kept breaking so my hope is this will hold up much better and for much longer

I’ve had a number of HP printers and have always had a good experience with them. The build quality on this Laserjet Pro 4301fdw seems equally nice. I like the look of the blue front to mix things up a bit from the usual off white color. Plan accordingly for size when you decide if this printer will work for you. It’s roughly 17” wide and deep and about 15” high. It makes sense that it weighs more than our old Laserjet printer that printed black only. Removal from the box is quite easy if you follow the directions and setup is straight forward in terms of connecting to ones wi-fi and loading on computers. In addition, the printer has ports available for fax, USB and ethernet. The 4.3” color screen is easy to read and very responsive as one uses the touch controls. We already used the HP Smart app so this was an easy addition to utilize the print and scan features for the new printer. The printer is compatible with Macs, Windows computers and mobile devices. The printer has ports available for fax, USB and ethernet. One hiccup I hit when trying to sign up for the free trial of HP ink was that I could not locate the printer PIN number where HP said it should be located on the printer. After not wanting to search further I eventually decided that I’m going to wait and see if our usage justifies using the Instant Ink program. I’ve found that unless one does quite a bit of printing that you’re better off just purchasing your own ink or toner. Note that HP has designed their printers to work with HP ink so I usually stick with the OEM brand to avoid any issues. All of the key functions that one needs for personal or small business use are here. Copy, scan or fax documents in black and white, or color. Duplex printing allows one to save on paper and the automatic document feeder holds up to 50 pages. The output tray capacity is limited to 150 pages. Printing is very quick at 35 pages per minute. I especially like that the printer is quieter than other printer models I have used and the auto on/off feature is great to minimize energy use. Paper trays are very accessible in the front of the printer with the main tray holding up to 250 sheets of paper and the multipurpose tray holding up to 50 sheets. The printer supports paper sizes of letter, postcard, label and envelopes. The ability to print in color comes at a price as there are four toner cartridges to replenish on this Laserjet Pro. At the very least you’ll likely be spending over $100 on each cartridge. Scan and copier resolution is up to 600 x 600 and the quality thus far has been very good to meet our needs. We’d recommend this printer for a busy family or small business due to its quality, features, speed and quiet operation.
