Worst printer ever
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst printer ever! Uses way to much ink! When replacing the ink, the ink cost more then the printer! Look for a better printer!

Replacing Toner Costs More Than the Printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually really like this printer with the exception of, the outrageous cost of the toner. It literally cost more to replace the toner than the cost of the printer. HP makes a great product but needs to get realistic with toner prices. This printer replaced the M477fdw, which had reasonable toner costs.

Happy but Not
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LOVE the printer; EXCEPT about the time the return period ended, it began squeaking every time I print. VERY ANNOYING but otherwise a great little printer.

Lagtime
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I'm not doing it right. I get delays in my printing. Occasionally, the photos that I print come out it "jumps" of two+ seconds. The image is distorted every inch or so.

Wireless connectivity challenges
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the printer but it keeps losing connectivity on a regular basis. That's frustrating when you have the device as the source for printing centrally in the home business. The need to go up and down stairs to turn on and off WiFi and work with HP tech support gets frustrating after 3 or 4 times. The shame is when it works it is awesome but the connectivity piece makes me lower my rating.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has failed to maintain a reliable wireless connection. I can understand why that would be extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially considering that you really like the printer otherwise, so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems, including wireless connectivity and printer-offline issues. Visit that page here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If the problem persists, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Delivered broken...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Might be a good printer... But was damaged in shipping. It was delivered upside down with a hole in the side. Was broken out of the box and made weird clicking noises. Had to return it.

A Big Disappointment
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is better than the ink Jet 9025 I recently returned, but not by much. The document feeder is poorly constructed and seems primed to break. The software is not current and must be updated before color printing and two-sided copying is available. (This is especially difficult for lawyers working from home who have to involve their firm's IT people to work around the firm's security firewalls). In addition, this machine swills toner like jocks at a college fraternity kegger swill beer.

Crazy refill cost...
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Printer BUT... note the cost of the toner that is needed to refill it is crazy... its more than it would be to buy a new printer!

Wifi is useless
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have to re enter wifi network info every time I want to AirPrint. For an expensive printer I shouldn’t have to mess with it for five minutes every time I want to print something. Print outs are nice. I would give it .5 extra stars for that.

Not what you expect from HP
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of HP printers have declined. The guides for the document feeder move easily and cause scans to be at an angle. The manual feeder tray and larger paper tray are very flimsy. The worst is actually dealing wit Best Buy. You can no longer call a store. You get a generic call center. Dick Schulze would be very disappointed in how they operate.

Paper jam that didn’t exist
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paid $800 for this printer. I had it for less than a week. The printer showed a paper jam that wasn’t there. No matter what I tried the screen on the printer would not clear the paper jamb error. I returned it back to the store.
