    Not a great printer

We’ve had this printer for two years. It won’t print in color anymore. Don’t know why and no one wants to try to fix a printer. It also says “corrupt file” half the time when we are trying to print. Four hours on hold with Geek Squad (most of it on hold) and they have no answers or solutions. Don’t bother spending this much on a printer- you will likely be disappointed.

Nice printer. Connected easily to my network and all cell phones. Only downside is price of toners.

It’s a good printer. The only complaint that I have is to replace all the ink cartridges it almost cost as much as the printer itself. If I could make the purchase again I would’ve got an Epson eco-tank pricewise it’s a lot more cost-effective.

Having problems with sleep mode, we have to turn the printer off to get it to wake up. Called HP support and they said we can't turn off the sleep mode therefore we keep turning it off to come back on.

    Originals don't feed properly

Everything worked fine, but then the automatic paper feed on the top began grabbing more than one copy at a time causing jamming or missed pages. Even when it does feed properly, as the originals are shoved out to the tray they don't lay on top of the previous page, but rather randomly jammed into the stack in no praticular order, which means I have to manually resort them, which can be VERY tedious on larger volume runs. I tried all the tricks, fanned the paper to loosen them, check the corners for bends, ran a humidifier to stop static electricity, opened the unit look for debris....you name it....

This printer was hard to setup. with my Old brother printer all I had to do was plug the USB-B cord into the notebook and print. With this printer I couln't get it to pring. SO I hit control print. Printed about 45 pages of machine language. Why does it have to be so hard to use a printer. Why does HP not make the printer user friendly with software. It had shown me I need some other programs to use the printer. Sorry but if I buy a printer. Everything i need should come with it. If I can get this printer packaged back up. It might get taken back to where i bought it.Weighing 50 lbs and me having to carry it down like 22 steps. I don't know.

really slow printing. when scanning through top loader, pulls more than one paper through, so i have to scan 1 page at a time. does not hold enough paper. constantly tells me it's out of paper when it has plenty of paper. makes me use the extra paper tray.
