I was all excited to upgrade from my ink jet all in one. I wish I never had. This thing is a major pain. It won't duplex without taking the pages out and replacing them in the tray. There's no way to run multiple docs as duplex. You have to do them one at a time. It won't auto feed (I have to press a button for each job). It took me an hour to figure out how to scan.... Everything about this printer is hard. All the online help I could find in several hours of searching has been unable to help me make this work as seamlessly as my $100 all in one. I'll just use it until the toner has been consumed, then I'm throwing it away!

Slow, worked ok the first 4 months but now my toner cartridges keep blowing toner dust everywhere and the copies are coming out horrible. I’ve contacted the toner company and tried different toner, but it still happens.

I have the Color LaserJet Pro M477fnw printer (less than a year old) that started printing magenta lines on every page so I contacted HP support and they told me that the cartridges are not included in the warranty! Ridiculous!

I liked everything about this printer, but the only downfall was it didn't the automatic duplex printing, you have to do it manually. I returned it for m477fdw model which does it automatically. Other than that this is a great printer

Returned this model due the inconvenience of needing to manually reinsert pages for double sided printing. For some it may not be an issue but for a busy office and using this feature daily - it was a deal breaker for us.

    Disappointed

I wrote a review but it never got published for some reason. This printer has major drawbacks and problems. First, they have switched to a lower melt temperature toner, so you cannot print anything with this printer, and then expect to put that sheet through another laser printer - such as when we print logos and letterhead on blank sheets first, then print the invoice or data onto the pre-printed sheet. Second, you can't print a standard UPS label without changing settings on the printer - this is something my old Brother printer did automatically and is a real disappointment. Third, the scanner feed simply won't pull paper through straight, so if you scan multiple sheets and use the auto feeder, they all scan crooked, no matter what you do with the paper guides. So disappointing after spending HOURS researching the best printer to replace my old one. Now I think I have to return this one

The printer works fine, however the scanning app is a bit unstable support helped a bit and we found a workaround. I don't scan as much, for me is a nice to have. But the printer is great and easy to use.

I replaced my 3 year old Epson color inkjet printer which was still running like a champ with this heavy; now hunk of junk. I used the printer to print a few color reports and not more than an hour later the entire thing died on me. checked the plugs checked all the wiring. The printer hasn't moved an inch since I placed it on day of set up. I purchased this product on April 26th and it is now June 22nd. This expensive paperweight didn't even last 2 months. I called customer service about it and all they did was direct me to HP customer service and say I could buy another $400 printer and use the new one while this one is being fixed...... why not just exchange the thing in store for me..... Id give this thing 0 stars if I could. I thought HP would be a little better than this.

The quality of photos isn't as clear as with my HP printer I had before, but this was a less expensive alternative. I wish is printed double sided but overall it's fine for home use.

Should be able to do double sided. Very disappointed to find out after the fact that it doesn't, even though it said it on the label

I had bought it but returned it beacause it doesn’t support two sided priniting and for the price it’s at I expect it to be feature on the printer.

Spend your money on a Brother printer as you get way more for you money. The scanning functions of the HP are not near that of the Brother Printers.
