Customers are saying

Customers find value in the LaserJet Pro P1102w's excellent print quality, ease of use, and compact size. Many appreciate its wireless capabilities and affordable price point, finding it reliable and easy to set up. The printer is also praised for its relatively quiet operation. I never could get the wireless feature to connect to my Windows 7 desktop, got it to print via USB about 10 pages and it starting feeding the paper crooked and jammed, never got it to print again. Took it back.

Wireless intermittent, then gave up altogether

From the first day I bought this printer, wireless access on my network was intermittent. I lived with it, getting it to print by re-booting it whenever I needed to print. Just recently, after a little more than a year, it has completely failed--test prints pages are blank or only half-printed. Installed new drivers, used HP's new "print doctor" diagnostic tool, and it still doesn't work. It is out of warranty, so it is headed for the recycle bin. Stay away from this printer. It is cheap, but it never worked right, and now doesn't work at all.

    Disappointment...

Based on my experience with the HP 7250 in wireless mode, I was looking forward to using the P1102w to replace an existing small laser printer. Seemed to work okay with USB connection, but when I used the WiFi connection, it was very slow, and I could never print more than one page at a time. When I tried to print a multi-page document, again fine with USB, but would lock-up after one page on WIFI. Tried with multiple Mac computers and same result. Good news - Best Buy customer service was very easy to work with on the return.

    don't buy this one

The printer has less than 500 sheets through it. It recently started blowing visable smoke and heat wrinkling the paper when it prints. The printer has less than 500 sheets through it. It is just out side the manufactues warrenty so out of luck on any help. HP has terrible customer service lately. A printer should last longer than a ream of paper. I usually love HP products but this one is the execption.

    Buyer beware - EXPENSIVE TONER!

I am overall unhappy with this printer. In fact, I might return it. The wireless has proved unreliable. I can't stand that about it. I don't have time to reinstall it every time I want to print. The toner is absurdly expensive as well. Buyer beware. The printer is a bargain, but only because they hook with you toner.

A challenge to setup Wi Fi feature

    Posted .

This product has the worst setup instructions and customer support from HP I've ever seen. Setting up the Wi Fi feature for Mac products was a real challenge. I finally got it down but it took me hours and several attempts. If you have a Mac and want to have the Wi Fi feature, this printer is not for you unless you are very good in figuring out wireless network solutions.

    constant jams and errors

    Posted .

Ive had a HP all-in-one for years at home. I've use HP laser at work with years with no problems. So when I wanted a small home laser printer to save on the photojet I of course turned to HP. Ive had this for 4 weeks, printed about 50 pages and have spend hours and hours with jams and errors. Hours on the phone with HP support, no help. Maybe I just got a lemon. AlI I want is simple plug and play wireless printing. This is not the answer. I really want to like it. I know it has many good reviews. Im an average techie but can this this to work for more than a day without jams and resets and now its stuck

    Prints Ok, Wireless Setup terrible

Spent two days attempting to force it to connect to the wireless. The HP techs spent a 3rd day attempting to get it to work on the wireless with the same results. I had installed the OfficeJet 6700 wirelessly just 10 min before hand in the same environment without a hitch. Worked just fine using the USB cable. Would not recommend this product if you wanted to install it wirelessly. Returned and replaced it with the HL-2270DW Brother printer and installed it in 15min without an Issue. Save your money and buy the Brother Printer.

    Horrible

Let's start with how slow the printer is. Very!! I can try to print something and it doesn't come out until the next day. Next-trying to print a picture is impossible. As to wireless one has to constantly go over to the printer to turn it on. Need I go on. We bought it in April and I am trying to figure out how to return it. Never again an HP

    Borders? What are borders?

    Posted .

This printer simply can't figure out the page borders. Obviously, the driver is poorly written. Save your money and buy a nice pen and copy your stuff by hand. It will be less frustrating that way.

This printer does not work with Mac

This printer is impossible to set up on a Mac. The instructions seemed written by an ESL student - terrible and very incomplete. Don't believe the 5-star review. That person obviously works for HP.
